mozart Posted February 14 Posted February 14 It’s most certainly not a deal breaker Peter, simply because the people who will buy the Defiant will, in all likelihood be experienced modellers who will have the necessary degree of skill and knowledge to be able to master the kit in all its intricacies. I am over the moon with how this is going Tolga is doing a superb job and I am getting some great feedback, like that control stick / compass clash - easily fixed I was trying to think of an analogy about how you watch a child you have nurtured grow into an adult and do something incredible, which is kind of how I feel watching Tolga work his magic on my baby In other news, the Injection Moulding company have advised they can do the transparencies - with one observation - they say I need to split the turret dome into three parts as the machines do not like sheer vertical faces - this is where they said it needs splitting.. It's a pain and will make assembly harder so I will have to think about making it foolproof with tabs or a jig or something - what do you think? Dealbreaker? Keep at it Tolga - every day is a revelation I love watching TTFN Peter Thanks a lot Peter, much appreciated indeed. 2 hours ago, MikeMaben said: Tolga Ulgur , pediatrician The child seems to be growing healthily And One day "The child is grown, the dream is gone" as the poet Floyd said MikeMaben, Shoggz, Kagemusha and 1 other 4
Troy Molitor Posted February 14 Posted February 14 This is coming together nicely. Thanks Peter & Tolga for showing us the way forward. Tolga ULGUR and airscale 2
Borsos Posted February 14 Posted February 14 This is getting together really very well! A black 1:72 scale Airfix Boulton Paul Defiant was the first Plastik Model Kit I ever laid my hands on. I had gotten it for present from my mum as a six year old child. It was an experience that kept me building models since this day almost 40 years ago. And I can’t say how long I wait for a 1:32 scale kit of this pretty machine… 😀 Andreas Tolga ULGUR, airscale, williamj and 1 other 4

Keep at it Tolga - every day is a revelation I love watching TTFN Peter I would say that commercially (sales) it’s more of a dealbreaker if you *don’t* go for injection mould clear parts if you want to entice people to buy something they wouldn’t normally do ie a full 3DP kit - because in mainstream subjects you really don’t see them right now - then you need to avoid anything vac for clear parts, whilst also not giving people a Trumpeter / Hobbyboss B-24 brain fail where they split the turrets down the actual clear parts! (No words) providing IM clear parts also makes your ‘world’ pretty much infinite in terms of ability to lean into the big boys’ world i really hope the IM solution works Paul in Napier, Philbucknall, Bonkin and 2 others 5
Simmo.b Posted February 15 Posted February 15 NOTHING, could deal break this for me!! If the print quality is anything like the Devastator parts the kit will be awesome airscale 1
