Absolutely fabulous 😍

I am so thrilled with this Tolga - thank you :)

I was pretty confident it would look like a Defiant, but to see it finished like this and to have been on the journey with Tolga to really get the kit tweaked to the best it can be has been a wonderful experience, and one that benefits any future customers too :)

Airscale would struggle to find a more enticing advertisement for this project. :clap2:

I hope you have encouraged throngs of modellers to dip deep into their pockets and treat themselves to one enabling Peter to bring more offerings to our world.

Thank you Guy, and you are 100% correct :)  ..as for more kit offerings, an exciting one is on it's way and Tolga, again will be the first to build it :)

Great work indeed

Just to be sure : everything we saw in this thread was "straight from the box" ? (except perhaps the decals ?)

Hi Orion - good question & worth a recap:

The parts are the same, but the production kit is printed at 0.030 microns, not 0.060 like this one, so any layer lines seen are greatly reduced

Many improvements have been made to fit and some details added

The clear parts were vacformed and 3D frames added for this build ONLY - the kit has injection moulded clear parts

The decals I gave Tolga here were digitally printed and of lower quality than the kit ones

Seat belts are included in the kit and don't need to be sourced

Tolga built it largely without instructions, whereas the kit has fully illustrated instructions and profiles

Again, superb job Tolga, and I look forward to releasing the kit soon when production is complete and I have the stock :)

Just a great build and a great kit.  Congratulations Tolga and Peter.  Something bugs me though -

How was the turret powered?  A motor of some kind?  Bicycle cranks?

Also, how would teh gunner bail out when necessary?

Anybody know?

Today is the last stage of "Le Tour de Defiant". The Tour, which has been going on for almost two months, ends today. I would like to thank Peter again for making this experience possible. It was a great experience for me. I think he also was happy with the result.

Thanks for watching.

Tolga, Peter, congratulations and well done.

Tolga, you have made a superb job of what is essentially a pre-production proof of concept model!

Peter, this is a superb model. Based on what little I have seen of your production production instructions and parts, your Defiant kit will be very high quality (certainly a match for WnW kits) - good luck with your superb product.

A superb model Tolga. Peter would have struggled to find a better candidate to bring his creation to life in such a professional and timely fashion.

You guys made a great team.

What an achievement. A completely 3D printed masterpiece constructed and finished to the highest level.

Your Defiant looks superb. Well done

This makes for a top notch showcase of both your talents and Peter's model kit.

Great job. :speak_cool:

Thanks a lot Peter, much appreciated indeed.

Awesome! . I was inspired to finish Dandiego’s Vigilante 3D print kit as you and Peter have collaborated. We are at a different skill level (and the Vigilante is no longer for sale), but I still felt the forum “brotherhood” as 3D printed  kits are being pioneered. Congratulations to you both!
