They're a low volume producer of resin Le Mans cars but they occasionally produce the odd aircraft kit as well.
Tomcatfreak Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I am very sure that a Jaguar and Rafale will come on day in styrene. Same as F-22. Just wait. I am not willing to pay 350€ CRAZY IVAN5 1
ColinR Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Quote I am very sure that a Jaguar and Rafale will come on day in styrene I hope and pray that you're right , BUT I have a sneaking suspicion that the fact the resin models of aircraft exist will put off manufacturers . which might explain why my heart sinks every time HPM produce a superb kit of a model I really want to build knowing there's no way it will never now appear in plastic.. Nor that Revell will ever produce a 1/35 Gigant !

Nor that Revell will ever produce a 1/35 Gigant ! I'm a little perplexed[not unusual for me],why would a IM company be put off from doing a subject that's already in resin? The resin/3D kits cater to a small segment of the kit builders A, the price B the availability of said kit. The IM companies would cater to the larger portion of the market for cheaper though perhaps not quite as detailed. IF there's a market for the subject then and lately there seems to be a heighten interest for the jag ,cue up Airfix with a new tool coming out [ 48th but still].Perhaps I'm missing something [again not unusual for me] I would venture to say that MOST of us can't really afford nor want to deal with resin. We could really use an option for the "common man", we like to build too.
FCM Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Thinking that we almost had a 1/32 Jaguar injected by kittyHawk, who gave it up to prior the Mirage 2000... Kagemusha, Daniel Leduc and ColinR 1 2

Nice that they've been around for some time, which on the other hand makes thing worse if their kit features such inaccuracies but is tagged with 350 Euros. I have no idea how they are doing with car kits so I'm unable to comment on that product range but maybe they should stick to Jaguars on four wheels only and leave the Jaguars with wings to others more competent in that area.

tomprobert Posted February 8 Posted February 8 For €350 I think I’ll stick with my ID vac that’s been slowly creeping up my to-do list. I wonder if they sell me the jet pipes and gear as that’s what’s currently holding me back… Stevepd, CRAZY IVAN5 and wunwinglow 3

Because the designer, Mr Song, left Trumpeter to co-found Kitty Hawk before the design was finalised. Trumpeter obviously lost interest after that. Kev CRAZY IVAN5 1
Phartycr0c Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I cant believe that it was over 16 years ago that the Trumpeter Jag first broke cover and its not been considered since, what with the advancement of moulding and resin casting / 3d printing in the meantime. Ill hover round the Profi24 release but not commit as ive got loads of stuff to build yet but if a reasonably priced Jag breaks cover then great, in the meantime, ill save my pennies. CRAZY IVAN5 1
