Wow, that surprises me, I thought I'd heard the molds were modified to make the single float version, which is why it was OOP this whole time.

I could go with an Arado float plane, I got a thing about floatplanes .,flying boats, amphibs and the like .  However I 'd need either a catapult or beaching gear to go with it[ don't do water dioramas]

HpH has a catapult.

The goofy thing about the HpH catapult is that it's unique to a certain few German cruisers, not any battleships. It severely limits marking options if you care about accuracy.

Well, that just about figures doesn't it. One way around that would be to scratch build some beaching gear though I'd have to find some good pics of one first . OR find the correct markings for the cruisers that used the aircraft[doubtful].

That's easy enough, just look up the Admiral Hipper. She was outfitted with the type of catapult HpH provides, and there are photos and profiles of her Ar-196's.

I suppose we'll have to wait even longer for Revell to bring us a Hurricane Mk.Ia, sadly.

Have you never seen beached boats, left high and dry by a falling tide? Might give you a diorama without beaching gear or catapult, merely a buoy mooring and mooring bridle laid askew on the putty - just a thought.

If you have the Hurricane IIB kit, you can use the ventral fuselage panel

to get a land base IIC. Maybe they'll include one in the Sea version.
