MDC + Revell car door Hawker Typhoon kit bash...Finished!!

It’s been gathering dust for far too long, so the next couple of days should see this finished. I wanted to get everything sorted underneath first:

 

 

I need to investigate further if the bomb release clamps were part of the carrier or fitted with the bombs, inconclusive research so far.  I should really fill in those small holes which show where the rocket rails fitted, but can I be bothered?   It only occurred to me a few weeks ago, the MDC kit doesn’t provide a pitot head/tube, a strange omission! Luckily for this build I have a spare from the old Revell kit, bit I think the next will have to be scratch built.

Thank you mes amis, and I’m happy to report that JP504 is now “finito”! (Unless I spot something that I have overlooked!). Hmmm, for a start off those landing lights need to be redone! Horrible! 

 

 

 
Still work to do on the figures and the rest of the dio, all in good time.  Better pictures tomorrow I hope.

This build sure been a rollocoaster ride with thrills thru the horror cave..yaih, and ive enjoyed this build thread alot, all redoings, and all that, and clearly show that things can be changed. very well executed imo.

I feel like not only is the end result an amazing looking model, but I also feel like maybe your kit bashing sacrifice helped bring  about the rise of what is sure to be a masterpiece of a kit.

Thank you Brian, that's very generous of you.  The build has been a labour of love from "Go" to "Whoa", I look forward to the next one: will it be another MDC in the stash, or an Airscale?
