red Dog Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Hello gents, Would you guys recommend a transparent resin for SLA printing? I need to make a few light bulbs and in the long term I want to fix canopies as well Any advice welcome Thanks BiggTim 1
Juggernut Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Anycubic clear printing resin is supposed to be decent but be forewarned that any clear resin print will require post cure processing to make it suitable for canopies etc. I believe there’s at least one video on how to get the best clarity out of the print. This stuff - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C8NTLYKB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. Pretty good results, but you'll have to do some research on printer settings. Way different than standard or high speed resin. Iain and red Dog 1 1
Iain Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Just about to try printing some clear 'jump lights' for my Andover model - have a bottle of Anycubic Clear sat ready to go. I'm expecting some post-print work to get the clarity/shine I'm looking for. Iain BiggTim, Anthony in NZ and wunwinglow 3

You might try painting a thin coat of liquid resin over it and cure it again. This usually makes it very shiny and clear, but it might require a couple applications, as you don't want to put it on very heavy. Iain 1
