airscale Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 evening folks ..the day draws near when I can release this kit... I am just waiting for the injection moulded clear parts with a test shot due to arrive next week. In readiness, I built a production kit over the last few days so it is ready to accept those parts and any final tweaks can be made. I have 100 kits ready except for the turret parts as I want to be 100% sure everything works with the transparencies, so will print them once that is done ..it was an interesting build and pretty straightforward - some filler was needed on some major joints, some very fine layer lines needed a sweep of 400 to 100 sanding sponges here and there and all parts were removed and primed with mr surfacer 1500. Of course some of the detail is lost when filling & priming, but it was no issue to rescribe a few lines and replace a few rivets.. This is not Tamiya, this is airscale... anyways, I thought you might like to see it... ..just need those clear bits and we are away ..the next kit is on it's way too 😎 TTFN Peter D.B. Andrus, Anthony in NZ, mc65 and 29 others 30 2
Mal_Belford Posted April 24 Posted April 24 (edited) WoW. yes followed the build from Tolga. And yes will have this maybe in future a project, but have others that are in line, and yes i think its worth the money indeed, unusal and cool aircraft ro have in the glass cabinet. Hopefull its not a shortrun and few samples here as i would love to have one later. Edited April 24 by Mal_Belford Martinnfb 1

They would never dare to release a subject like this one in this scale 😊 And, yes, we like it (although this is not my cup of tea, but it should not hamper your sales anyway ) Hubert GusM, KUROK, morane and 1 other 4

But a few clues would be fun Peter. Your Defiant looks superb. Congratulations on a magnificent debut. As Tolga has highlighted, your kit builds up into a fine model. You have the right to be very proud and if you never created another offering you've already achieved something rather special. I can't see you resting on your laurels and stopping here though. Bring on your next release. Martinnfb 1
mozart Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Superb Peter! That really does look mouth-wateringly good. Martinnfb 1
LSP_Kevin Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Can't like this enough! Kev Martinnfb, Pete Roberts and geedubelyer 3
