Uncarina Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 Finished up the cockpit by adding the rigging, final details, and decals: And then, all too soon, the cockpit and fuselage is joined together: And time to see what else I can attach: The fit is actually very good--the fuselage mates to the LMD engine almost perfectly with some slight adjustment to the thickness of the plastic where it meets the resin. And the fuselage width exactly matches, as well as the curvature of the wing interface. I'm starting to think I will pull this off! Cheers, Tom LSP_Kevin, Sasha As, MikeMaben and 14 others 17

It’s amazing how rapidly this happens after the start of a build. Cheers, Tom geedubelyer and Martinnfb 2
geedubelyer Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I can relate to that Tom. I work on a desk but I only have about 6" square of clear space at any one time. I don't think we're the only ones Martinnfb, Biggles87 and nmayhew 2 1

Uncarina Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Added the Tamiya AS-12 primer. Since I added the set of outer 20mm cannons I had to open up the spent cartridge slots--I had to look hard at my references to see where they were located. Martinnfb Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Great progress Tom, regarding the bench, I see a perfectly organized work space Cheers Martin Uncarina 1

Thank you John. It took a bit of adjusting but it’s definitely a doable conversion. The biggest adjustment is actually to the cockpit floor.Tamiya has it molded onto the wing section but Kotare has this as a separate piece. This meant I had to sand it wafer thin for the Tamiya wing to fit to the Kotare fuselage. Cheers, Tom John1 1
