Nice review Iain ...

It's truely amazing at how far along 3D printing has come ... This stuff is gorgeous - It realy looks like part of the original donor kit!! ... I remember back only a few years when people were saying we were so far away from reaching the accuracy and fidelity required for 3D to become a viable alternative to resin casting ...

I can't help but feel that this sort of technology - has the potential to take Johns' AIMS Ju.88 designs to next level - minus the pain!

Rog :)

Really good review Iain - thank you.

I was so impressed with Mathieu's decision to send us early purchasers a revised set - superb customer service.

Just need to get building now - though it'll be a tussle between this and the mark XII.. unless I do a 'Tolga' and do both at the same time. :)

Tonight we take a look at the superb new conversion set from Laminar Flow Design to convert the 1:32 Tamiya Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc to the Mk.Vc variant.

Have fun!

Very impressive and detailed review.   Thank you!   Just wondering why you linked the Zotz decals to Scalemates page instead of the review on LSP (I was pretty sure you guys did a review of this sheet, maybe I'm wrong)?   The Scalemates page is very basic and doesn't show the sheet or profiles of the subjects.

As far as I'm aware we haven't seen a copy to review John - so the most neutral thing I could do in the absence of a Zotz website was link to Scalemates, rather than any of the retailers around the world that stock Zotz decals.

Indeed - and not only has it cost him time to correct the CAD models and print again, and money in terms of resin and printer wear and tear - but the cost of postage must have added up too!

I was in two minds about covering the addendum parts in the review - but it all made such a powerful statement about Laminar Flow Design's attention to detail and accuracy, as well as attitude to customer care, that I thought I'd cover it.

Of course any new orders are getting the corrected parts as standard now...

I better get cracking and do a review then!

This conversion looks amazing! I'm going to hold out though for the 24th scale MKXIV setup AND hopefully  an FR 47 conversion [32nd scale] that I can use with my Tamiya MK XVI[ love dem Griffon Spits and Seafires!}

Not a 47 yet, but DBMK are working on a Seafire 17 plus Spitfire XIV series for later next year...

Not meaning to detract in any way from the stunning Laminar Flow Design conversions, but a Tamiya + conversion set  is a comparatively expensive pathway — not that we've yet seen DBMK's kit prices, or kits come to that.

The LFD rivet set is, er, interesting. Better get the Elves to work on that one.
