Im thinking of purchasing the silentaire D150 for late night airbrushing. I know they are dear but I'm looking for some first-hand user experience input before I take the plunge. So if anybody has any experiences with the company's products I would like to hear from you if you"re up to it. Thanks

Totally agree that Silentaire compressors are worth the investment. Mine is 9-10 years old and works and sounds like it was brand new.  I have mine sitting directly next to my paint booth. The exhaust fan for the paint booth makes more noise than the compressor.  Go for it you won't regret it.

Thanks for the input. I'll take the plunge next week. Be nice to be able to paint late at night and not bother my better half. Is the

weight a bother? I will have to move this about once or twice a week. Small price to pay I guess. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

No the weight is not an issue (in comparison with similarly sized compressors). Moreover they normally have a handle on the top of the body. So you can carry it like a suitcase.

.Thanks. I thought that might be the case. I'm ordering it tomorrow then, no time like the present. and thanks again for everyone's input.

cheers!

One more thing: Does it come with a bottle of the synthetic oil?

The compressor is arriving on Tuesday. And the distributor did reply to me that a bottle of the oil is included. I'm very much looking forward to some near silent airbrushing. Thanks to all for your two cents. Cheers!

I have been using my silentaire compressor for a number of days now. Truly a Rolls Royce of airbrush compressors. I paint at midnight and no one in the house can hear it. Truly great product.
