Wow!  That is excellent work, and superb presentation, absolutely brilliantly done.  :goodjob: If my J turns out half as well as this I'll be happy.

Platinum-level amazing. My Grandfather was running around in that area in 1944. Maybe he saw this for real. How did you give the cockpit windows their grimy look?

Brilliant work Chuck! You’ve outdone yourself—and that isn’t easy.

Cheers, Tom

Thank you, Tom!  I appreciate your partnership on this one, as I probably wouldn't have tried any of this without your hard work on the cowls.  ❤️

Eeeehhh, probably by not sealing the canopy perfectly when airbrushing.  :D  That and some dust from the pigments I was using are probably at play there.  I wish I could say it was intentional, but probably more just dumb luck.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words; I'm beyond flattered and humbled by your kindness and encouragement.  ❤️

Very well done! It would be wonderful if a relative of one of these men to happen upon this model and recognize it from a family photo album. A grandfather perhaps. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome build Chuck! Great weathering. Looks like real thing and the okd picture makes it so different. I wish I could make such realistic OD finish. Wow!
