Looking good, man!  I love cockpit decals.  I wish they were in every kit.

These ones are great, and I enjoyed doing them. (I am a masochist. :D )

Yes, they won't be seen once the two halves are buttoned up, but I just enjoy having seen them in place and making everything look realistic.

I continue to be amazed at the amount of cockpit detail provided, I’ve just noticed that they even provide the strip of fairlead where the pipes from the undercarriage controls pass through the IP frame..

I’m very tempted to buy an early version while I’m waiting for the Vb.

Channelled my 'inner-Tolga' this evening and made some decent progress.

First job was to finish one of the only areas in this model that I'm not 100% keen on - the representation of the .303 brownings. Not really sure what Kotare were trying to achieve with the way they have done them... little fiddly stubs that you have to seat inside the wing.. :hmmm:

Anyway, once that was achieved, it was smooth progress to end up...

As with all three Kotare Spits I've built, the wing to fuselage join was a dream. I followed the instructions and attached the fillets to the wings and then slid the fusealge in.

There was a satisfying 'click' and there you have it!

Lovely job a d excellent progress Richard and I completely agree with you regarding the way Kotare have dealt with the .303's as for me it's a very poor and badly thought out area of the model which was unnecessary!

Go for it John!

I have just ordered the ‘ Brian Lane ´ version, which I intend to build straight from the box and avoid any ‘ improvement/correction ‘ delays, which is what usually lead to my interminably long builds. Here’s hoping.

Thanks Andy. Yeah, considering the brilliance of most of the design choices, that is an odd one!

Thanks Tom. It's a pleasure to document progress on this one!
