Tolga ULGUR Posted Friday at 02:34 PM Posted Friday at 02:34 PM Yet another new project with Laminar Flow Design. This will be finished as a Malta Spitfire Mk.Vc from operation Bowery Sepp, ROM, monthebiff and 17 others 19 1
John1 Posted Friday at 02:50 PM Posted Friday at 02:50 PM Great minds think alike! I'm right behind you. Still need to finish my FR.XIV but I'll be following closely. BTW, if you are looking for some good info on the enigmatic paint schemes Malta Spits had, I highly recommend "Color Conundrums #1". From the experts on this stuff, it apparently has much new info on the colors and markings than previous resources. Uncarina, Martinnfb and Tolga ULGUR 3
Anthony in NZ Posted Friday at 07:07 PM Posted Friday at 07:07 PM Excellent!! Should have my build going up this weekend too! Tolga ULGUR, geedubelyer and Martinnfb 3
Martinnfb Posted Friday at 08:24 PM Posted Friday at 08:24 PM I am right behind you and John, although in 1/24 scale Uncarina, HB252, Shoggz and 7 others 10
GMK Posted Saturday at 05:12 AM Posted Saturday at 05:12 AM Looking forward to this one! Hoping that the LFD Mk VC conversion proves popular enough for LFD to consider it in 1/24 scale. Sasha As, Tolga ULGUR and Martinnfb 3

Biggles87 Posted Saturday at 09:44 AM Posted Saturday at 09:44 AM You must be one of LFD’s favourite customers. John Martinnfb, geedubelyer and Tolga ULGUR 1 2
Tolga ULGUR Posted Saturday at 10:34 AM Author Posted Saturday at 10:34 AM I removed some parts. Casting is outstanding. As some members know, there are some form problems in the Nose piece and the Volkes cowling piece. LFD replaces them free of charge. I'll be busy working on the cockpit and lower wing until the corrected parts arrive. geedubelyer, Kagemusha, Sepp and 15 others 17 1
Martinnfb Posted Saturday at 03:20 PM Posted Saturday at 03:20 PM (edited) Those prints look absolutely amazing . I would love to see them in 1/24 format as well. Cheers Martin Edited Saturday at 03:21 PM by Martinnfb Tolga ULGUR, Pete Roberts and geedubelyer 3
monthebiff Posted Saturday at 10:39 PM Posted Saturday at 10:39 PM Looking forward to this one Tolga and will be following along, I have the donar kit, I have the decals and just waiting on the conversion to drop now. Regards. Andy Tolga ULGUR and Martinnfb 2
Dpgsbody55 Posted Sunday at 04:56 AM Posted Sunday at 04:56 AM Looks like another fun conversion. I wonder how this will compare with the Mk.XIII in terms of how well it builds. Cheers, Michael Martinnfb and Tolga ULGUR 2

Tolga ULGUR Posted Sunday at 08:22 AM Author Posted Sunday at 08:22 AM Let's start This time, I quit the orthodox approach and started building from the wings instead of the cockpit. More exciting? GMK, Martinnfb, Shoggz and 5 others 8
Biggles87 Posted Sunday at 09:11 AM Posted Sunday at 09:11 AM Another brave move, this time the wing seems to be held on by less than on the Mk XII. Good luck. John Martinnfb 1

I also use this book as a reference in this project: I've got that book, it's amazing. Over on Brit Modeler, where there seems to be a plethora of Malta experts, I was told that Cauchi's research has now been superseded by the info pulled together in Color Conundrums. I bought the book last week; it seems to be very well researched and full of nice color profiles (not just of Malta Spits but it also touches on multiple other subjects). It's a great read.
