I, for one, sincerely hope it is more 1/35 scale items. Should they 'mix and match' to cover the margins with 1/32 as well, then great and more power to their elbows and maybe, just maybe, it will keep all of us happy, naysayers included. NewtonK Posted November 27, 2024 Author Posted November 27, 2024 I, for one, like Roman numerals, I'm pleased to see more manufacturers doing planes, means more options and a greater likelihood of more subjects. Happy days Archimedes 1

'Wæs þu hál' from the Kingdom of the Rheged that must be the problem - never liked that programme either 🤷♂️ on the one hand i am happy for those who are happy etc etc etc, but i do feel any material expansion of 1/35 will dilute / erode 1/32 in the long run and, as that is my scale, i am against anything that leads to that (1/48 and 1/72 are their own unrelated worlds afaiac) Good day from the land of Hengist and Horsa 😉 D Bellis and MikeC 2

Rick Griewski Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 If this is true I am disappointed. ZM already offers a good enough kit of this aircraft. All the hundreds of subjects that need to be redone. I give them a Geesh anyhow grade. i could see a 1/35 kit to be used on end of war diorama(s). One would need only the center section skeleton so to speak GusM, Mark P, Borsos and 3 others 6
Artful69 Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Odd choice For any number of reasons ... That's all I can really say ... Rog kalashnikov-47, CRAZY IVAN5, Gazzas and 1 other 4
cbk57 Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 (edited) To me this is essentially a what iff. Even if there is a partial prototype or something I do not care about this plane, but this is not something I consider interesting or significant enough for me to build. Others may want it and that is great but not my thing. If they were going to tool something at random, I would much prefer a new Mclaren or Mercedes F-1 car to this, which do have wings and are far more interesting. Andreas Beck Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 No, not an odd choice, give them a Big Bravo - because it is a training round into a new genre, and give them a second and a third "odd choice" before doing an Allison Pony, a Griffon Spit, a two stage Merlin Mossie, a Bf 110 G-4 or Dinah, 410, or, or, or..... BloorwestSiR Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Well, I'm happy with the 229B variant. I picked up the ZM B conversion set but it was a big let down. D Bellis and Martinnfb 2
Martinnfb Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Excellent news. I like the subject, I like the scale. The last question is:” will I like the price tag?” A nice option for those who are not too keen on building complex inner structures that will end up buried out of sight. It is not an odd choice only because the CAD files are available for license? The company can move fast and sell basic model. Many aircraft you mentioned are on my which list also. Griffon bird is at the top. They will need to do them on their own. No CAD file preload. We will see. BloorwestSiR and Martinnfb 2
Jan_G Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I built ZM A version few years ago and it was relaxing built. Somehow I like the what if subjects so I will get B version. And it´s so great that there is another player in 1/32 scale. And we don’t have to wait years to get it the market. D Bellis, firefly7, Uncarina and 3 others 6
D Bellis Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I'll throw in my hearty support for Takom's first 1/32 aircraft kit - for the two best reasons in existence: 1) It is an aircraft kit, and 2) it is 1/32 scale (and not some tank/doll-scale thingy). Having a few of the ZM '229 kits both built and in the stash, I'll still buy at least one of these new Takom kits to show my monetary support hoping that they continue to develop 1/32 aircraft kits for us to enjoy.
