II WW didn't started in 1939...It started two years later, when Soviet Union attacked Poland from east. Due to Ribbentrop-Beck pact (and because Adolf H. began to consider himself as first personification of Michelangelo ghost, which hijacked his entire persona) 10 newly produced Bf-109G-6 fighters were quickly moved to airbases in Poland for pre-purchase field tests. Airplanes were quickly repainted in standard Polish Air Force colors (khaki/light blue) and markings. On four BFs was installed new Hamilton standard propeller, provided by Americans. First combat ecounters with soviet fighters gave a lot of insight about capabilities of BF-109G-6H (for Hamilton prop). It was faster and more agile than any soviet airplane. With new propeller pilots were less concerned about having too little engine power to pull up from diving. Soon new BFs became quite common over European TO. Even sooner new fighter became scourge for soviet bombers and fighters as they were no match for speed, ability and armament of BF-6Hs.

I know, story above is definitely controversional, maybe even blasphemous for hardcore historians but don't get mad at me, I really wanted to build polish BF-109 with four-bladed propeller :)

Three years ago one of popular magazines about military history released an article entitled "Allies 1941". There was beautiful BF-109D in polish markings on cover. Because Alley Cat conversion set for BF-109E is unavailable in Poland then I had to improvise. I bought Revell 1/32 Bf-109G6 and started to think how to modify it. Initially I wanted to use Spitfire Mk IX prop but no luck (there is no resin one) so I decided to use P-51 prop. I bought PE seatbelts, Yahu instrument panel and P-11 decals.

Tactical number will be 25 :)

And below is cover already mentioned in text:

I like the idea , although the HS prop would have to be most likely modified to clear the runway. Mustang propeller was 340cm in diameter, 109's only 300cm.

Thanks, I'll take care of that :)

Anyway, here is my model, brand new. I have Master gun barrels on order, should be tommorow.

What …… you’re not gonna double the rudder size with that beast of a prop ….. :hmmm:

I dont have any scrapped rudder for a change and I dont have experience and materials to scratchbuild one. I know that it would be needed but...well...not this time.

Nice finish on your project, Artoor.   Very imaginative.

I just wanted to clear up a misconception on the engine-power/being able to pull out of a dive that you have written.  The 109 suffered from was a phenomenon called "compression".  Basically, the air flowing over a control surface is moving so fast that it becomes so "Heavy" that the pilot cannot get that surface to move.  They could 'cheat' it a little bit by using trim wheel, but that wasn't enough to regain the maneuverability lost by increased speeds.

The P-38 Lightning also suffered from this same problem of air flowing over the elevators too fast.  When the US built the F-86 Sabrejet, all of the controls were given hydraulic assist so that the controls could be moved easily by the pilot at any speed.
