fantastic news!

whilst the F-4s have always been around, the F-2 has been rare as rocking horse you-know-what! something i always found strange given that particular variant seems to have more cool schemes than all the rest.

I'm not sure exactly how Hobby2000 do what they do, but it's most welcome!

Curious, which US retailer sell the Hobby 2000 line?  Not finding them anywhere. Are they eBay only?

Thanks

Paul

They still don't have any US distributor. However, there are several reliable Polish shops which sell to US (Super-Hobby, Exito, Plastmodel...), the new kits should also soon be available at Hannants for those who prefer this source.

I have one each of the Hasegawa F-2, F-4. I also have a couple of Hobby 2000 E's

but I don't remember where I got them .  Non of the F's are on Ebay yet tho.

The E,s are still there but ship from Poland and are waayy too spendy.

BTW  the early production F-4s were externally identical to F-2s

As has been mentioned, the Hasegawa early Fs are quite rare but have some of the most interesting paint schemes.  Phillip's white 9 will need a rear view mirror...

Hopefully Hobby 2000 will include the parts for the late F-4s too.

At some point of service the mirror was apparently removed.

As mentioned in the first post, the kit is based on Hasegawa 08210 which includes parts for F-2 and some early F-4s only: Hasegawa is reluctant to offer sprue sets which would differ from what they had released on their own.

Mirrors were never factory standard, they were personal additions by the pilot.

Excellent! Have been waiting too long for Hasagawa to re-release the F-2. Many unusual and flamboyant paint schemes associated with this mark.

 Thank you Hobby2000!

Hi FW  :hi: Let's just hope they're sold here in the states at a reasonable price.
