Finn Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 A Strike Eagle on patrol, it's obvious what the current threat is going by the load: at least it has one bomb just in case of a ground target: Jari geedubelyer, A-10LOADER, John1 and 4 others 7
geedubelyer Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Love the staining on this. She's a dirty girl that's for sure
MikeMaben Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 I think those are still based in Washinton state. I don't see them but I do hear them.
Oldbaldguy Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 There are some great YouTube videos of these things going thru the Mach Loop.
John1 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 (edited) With the C’s being retired and their new radars, I read the the E’s are often being tasked for A2A roles nowadays. Edited November 3, 2024 by John1
Macbain Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Cool pics, thanks for sharing. Such a capable aircraft, love these beauties. +1 on pics/videos from the Mach Loop, so good! geedubelyer 1
Finn Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 F-16s in the area were loaded for air to air as well: Jari Breaker, Martinnfb, A-10LOADER and 1 other 4

Finn Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 The source for the photos is here: https://www.centcom.mil/MEDIA/IMAGERY/ just type in F-16, or whichever aircraft in the Search to get a whole lot of images. As for lack of ECM pod, no air to ground threat at the time so no need to carry them but they probably have them just in case. Jari Martinnfb, Breaker and A-10LOADER 2 1
Finn Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 Here is another F-15E about to get some gas: Jari A-10LOADER, geedubelyer, Martinnfb and 2 others 3 2
geedubelyer Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Great shot Jari. Thanks for sharing. Check out the asymmetrical position of the intake ramps and the uneven wear on their leading edges. That would make a neat touch to the weathering of a model. I like the irony of the fact the wear is over the "No Step" cautions Do you know what "You'll float too" on the speedbrake refers to?

I also thing the loadout is interesting - AIM-9X x 3, AIM-120 on both the pylon and fuselage station. Assuming it's for anti-Drone operations. geedubelyer 1

Chek Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Linked to the jet's name 'Pennywise',. the evil child killer clown in that movie 'It' geedubelyer and Martinnfb 1 1
