My first Spitfire model was the Airfix 1/72 Vb with Jan Zumbach's BM144 on the box and it's been my favourite mark ever since, so this news is so exceptionally exciting for me!

Prefer a Hurricane meself, but still have the two Kotare Mk1s in the stash, which will very probably be three before too long because I want to do K5054.

Looks OK.  Perhaps they'll work their way through all the variants including a Griffon powered Mk.XIV.

Cheers,

Michael

Dare we hope for a Seafire or three as well, an up-to-date Mk 47 would be great!  To say nothing of a III, XV or XVII.

This.

Sadly I can't see Kotare venturing down that route though.

Somehow it doesn't seem to fit with their mission but we can live in hope.

I suspect that the most likely route to a Seafire FR-47 will come from Laminar Flow Designs or similar but I hope to be proved wrong.

At the rate they release kits, if that happens, it will be sometime in the 2030's.  Somehow it doesn't seem like the best business plan to have 90% of your product line be nothing but various Spitfire variants, especially since the later versions never seemed to attract as much attention as the "classic" Mk I - IX's did.
