Moving on to the recesses of the main chassis struts with the cannon compartment. The resin parts are warped, the left and right niche have differences in size. Stotochil all the attachment points on the wing under the niches from the set. With difficulty they are in place. Still need to be adjusted. But the main surprise is a gap of almost 3mm between the wing halves. It will be necessary to remove not only the thickness of the resin, but also the plastic, otherwise it will not be enough.

Aires is absolutely notorious for that issue. Sometimes you can thin the resin and plastic enough to make their parts fit, and sometimes you can't. It is inexcusable that a company can create parts that are totally unusable but they do. I've thought at times about creating a database of Aires parts identifying which sets fit and which do not, but never worked up the ambition.

The resin recesses are as much as possible. Top of the wing too. As much as possible. It all worked out. The wing halves came together. Glued the cannons, detailing small in the niches. Glued it to the bottom of the wing. The positioning here should be very precise, just a little past and again not fit.

Very fine work on some tough issues Sasha.  I agree with Spectre about Aires stuff I have had some really interesting challenges with their stuff in the past.

I just finished an A-4 using all of the same Aires stuff. I think I saw on this site that Aires means "it doesn't fit" in English.
