I’m pleased to announce that our latest title, A Modeller’s Guide to the Ju 88 G-6 Night Fighter, is now available for immediate purchase and download!

In this epic 1,031-page eBook, Ju 88 G-6 devotee John McIllmurray covers every conceivable aspect of the history and development of this important Ju 88 sub-type. The book is in fact broken into 4 separate documents:

  • Modellers_Guide_Ju-88G-6.pdf
  • Appendix_1_Ju88G-6_Loss_Record.pdf
  • Appendix_2_Ju88G-6_Pilot_Claims.pdf
  • Ju-88G-6_Artwork.pdf

The main document contains over 1,000 images, and 106,000 words! There’s a full conversion of the Revell 1/32 Ju 88 A-1 kit to a G-6, along with 39 colour profiles, stencil guides, painting schemes, aircraft and unit data, structural analyses, aircraft losses, pilot claims, and much more. In short, it really is the definitive modeller’s guide to the Ju 88 G-6.

It’s important when purchasing this book to download all 4 of the associated files, as collectively they’re considered a single work, which has been broken up to allow for optimal formatting of their respective content.

This is by far our largest-ever work, and represents a major labour of love for author John McIllmurray. We hope you find it both useful and inspirational! It's now available for immediate purchase and download from our website for just 40 Australian dollars.

I just browsed up to page 400 and I'm already amazed by the ton of wartime pics, walkaround ones and TM views! WOW! So, I'm sorry for the wallet of the other guys but I'm sure tons of people, even if they have just a vague interest in building a better Ju88 kit will NEED this ebook!

I'm afraid to say...this is simply the BEST Ju88 reference ever published!

I spent most of my morning to browse through the files and can only confirm my initial assessment. You get everything you can possibly ask for and for what is finally a very low price.

One small detail that puzzled me somewhat is the repetition of some pictures. However, this is justified by the context of their use here and there and I would not be surprised seeing some future polishing of what is a gigantic work.

I also loved some non-typical details such as that MG  FF on the AA ground mount!

A last remark: John never produced his 1/32 main landing gear detail set as Profimodeler released a large one and Eduard put some components in their external set. However, with the end of the Profi line and the fact Eduard sets are OOP, I think there is possibly some market opportunity to reconsider... 😉

You made my day gents...🤩

Just purchased my copy a few minutes ago as well.  I haven't had a real opportunity to browse through it yet, I had to run to Hannants and purchase John's 1/48 scale PE, scribing template, and decals for the Dragon Ju88G-6!

The 1/32 version is pending John's Ju88G-6 conversion and provided he's still able to create them.

This has been our most successful book launch to date, and along with the positive comments posted in this thread, here are some others:

"Just got my copy. Worth every penny. It is not a booklet, it is a 240Mb volume packed with photos (many new to me), factory drawings, walkarounds, assembly schemes... everything. Even if you are not a modeler, it is a great volume in any library. The modeling section is about the book's final third, where the author walks you through some of the most detailed and researched modeling projects I've ever seen on the subject. I cannot recommend it enough. I bet it would be sold out by now if it was a printed book. Congratulations to Mr. McIllmurray and Kevin for the great job." - Rato Marczak

"Wow! I have just purchase this new book and can’t recommend it highly enough - absolutely outstanding in every respect. Love the profiles especially not to mention the huge resource it will be for anyone with any interest in WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft. Just buy it, it’s incredible value for money." - Geoff Coughlin

"I was surprised how much was in there and I was expecting good things. An amazing resource!" - down2buildness, Instagram

"Got my copy. Everything you need to know before building the ultimate model of Ju-88G-6 is inside this book!" - Shimon Halperin, Israel

"I bought it as well. Excellent job, I'm really glad buying your digital books." - Piotr Mikolajski, Instagram

"Luftwaffe enthusiast and friend of John’s – purchased, downloaded…..jaw still on the floor! Kudos to you for creating such a professional product" - Neil Page, http://falkeeins.blogspot.co.uk

Many thanks to John and Kevin! This is the most detailed and perfectly presented tomb regarding the Ju 88! I am pleased to find pictures of Guttorm in there!

My guess is, it might take me weeks to go through this masterpiece. iPad battery is charged! 🙂 Thank you so much for this oeuvre! My hope is for John to get better, sorry to read about his health struggle. Best wished are sent out to Hungary! Maybe, who knows, some of his 1/32 conversions sets might appear again.
