Alas, it looks we missed each other. I was there only today from 10h30 to 15h30. I got my kit today and have to say this is indeed a true marvel!!!

I ordered my kit on the very first day it was announced, hoping that I would get it BEFORE the folks at the convention.
Yesterday I got an announcement from the Belgian Post saying that the package is due next Monday or Tuesday, AFTER the convention has ended .

Go figure

Not my thing - not enough propellers for my liking - but very refreshing to see a reasonably priced kit for what looks like a very high quality kit.

Especially so considering it's brand new, the amount of work that's gone into it, and its comparatively low sales volumes.

 

Browsing through eBay recently, I'm absolutely staggered by the increase in prices for kits & AM. It's not unusual to see stuff go for twice the price it would have sold for a few years back.

By the way, one reason why the kit release had been noticeably delayed was the time to make the instruction sheets. This puzzled me a little bit until I saw them! No doubt this asked for time...more particularly for a first model of such a complexity.

How do you know if you were part of the first run or missed it, Tony?  I ask because I've heard nothing since I made the payment last Saturday.

Quite interesting! I also didn´t get any special info on that. Made my payment a week ago and received the order confirmation, but no additional info on any delay.
