ade rowlands
Searching online peoples experiences with this brand seem to be very very varied. I’ve never used them but have found a set with som F4U-1 Birdcage schemes I’d like to have a go at. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/TM32064?result-token=D3GHi judging by the serial number it seems to be a fairly recent release. Anybody here tried Techmod stuff?
dennismcc
Used Techmod decals on my FAA Corsair and Hellcat models, they worked fine apart from the large wing markings which cracked up a bit, nothing that could not be fixed though. The next time that I used them I did not use decal solution. This is what I wrote at the time on the Corsair "Decals added (Techmod) , very brittle and they stick very quickly" Anf the Hellcat "Decal sheet bought to model an FAA machine, Techmod sheet 32015. Decals added (Techmod) , very brittle and they stick very quickly, two decals broke up when wet, had to replace them from the spare sheet that I (luckily) ordered" Cheers Dennis Martinnfb
DrewH
I've used them before also on a FAA Corsair. Found them very stiff (leads to brittle) and didn't react well with solvents. I had to resort to solve-a-set to get them down properly and not 'tent' over details. Agree with the very sticky - once it touches the model, didn't want to move. Wurgermeister64
Hello all, I had the same experience with Techmod decals on a 315 Squadron Mustang Mx III that I was working on a few years ago. They have accurate color depiction, but proved very delicate and cracked upon using microsol products (relatively mild compared to other decal solutions IMHO).
