Ali62
Hi guys Well I did not think that I would have too much to offer since my previous announcement on here but things sometimes just move along and happen. As some will know I promised the spinner and props for the Hobbycraft A-36A and the P-51A, well I think I have got two sets that will help and look a lot better. https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/north-american-a-36a-spinner-and-propeller-blades-for-132-hobby-craft-kit-263-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/north-american-p-51a-spinner-and-propeller-blades-for-132-hobby-craft-kit-265-p.asp Then in the past few weeks I was contacted by Richard Cullen, and we started discussing a new undercarriage set he is working on, that he would like me to produce in brass. One thing lead to another and he offered to collaborate with me and for me to produce some sets that he had drawn up for himself and a few friends. He has quite a lot of items in his catalogue and we will work through them systematically over the next little while. So first up are some Phantom nose cones for the Revell kit, exhaust sets for the Revell and the Tamiya kits, and also some intake sets primarily for the Tamiya kits. These are very well drawn and researched sets and I am very pleased to add and offer them from my product range. https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-e-nose-cone-for-the-revell-132-kits-267-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-ej-kai-nose-cone-for-the-revell-132-kits-268-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-exhaust-set-for-the-revell-132-kits-271-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-exhaust-set-for-the-tamiya-cd-132-kits-275-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-exhaust-set-for-the-tamiya-j-e-and-ej-132-kits-273-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-intake-set-for-the-tamiya-c-d-e-ej-132-kits-277-p.asp https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-f4-intake-set-for-the-tamiya-j-132-kits-279-p.asp well I hope these are of interest to you all Edited August 29 by Ali62 Correction of links titles BiggTim, LSP_Ray, Dave Williams and 12 others
alain11
hi there are some nice stuffs that will enhance both the Revell and Tamiya F 4..... May I suggest you to look at the side of the outer slatted wings for the Tamiya kit, indeed, the only set available is the "Isracast" set taken back by "wingman models". This set doesn't fit perfectly ( that's not saying much ) to the Tam's kit, the engraving is from another age( not to say awful ) etc..... it's about time to get something new, something that opens a lot of possibilities for the F4 E "aphicionados " thank you .... dennismcc
P51a spinner and prop blades ordered should improve the kit, great stuff. Cheers Dennis
thierry laurent
Hi Ali. Thanks for the good news. Do the Mustang spinners have the same diameter than the kit or are they accurately scaled? I'm asking as the front fuselage tip is noticeably too thin/pointy. This can be solved with some plastic strips to enlarge it. Otherwise the front section up to the vertical panel line (more or less 3cm long out of my memory) would need a corrected replacement part as well but alas this does not exist. Steve Eagle
The new prop/spinner combo would be for the P-51, -51A, A-36, Mustang I/IA and not for a B,C,or D.

Hi Thierry I am not sure I follow you 100%, but this is what I have done. I have kept the diameter basically the same as the kit, but as the kit has a strange domed section at the propeller shaft, I have made a slight undercut in the spinner backing plate, this allows the spinner to fit the kit profile and create a good looking space between fuselage and spinner. I looked at lots of pictures and referred to Jumpei’s drawings. I am almost sure there is more than spinner profile, but had to take a stand on making it look as good as I could. My thoughts are to try and make super accurate parts for kits is very difficult, where do you stop, and how and when do you know that you have 100% accuracy unless you have access to original manufacturing drawings, and even then we know that changes get made in production. In this case for a kit that is pretty basic in many aspects, difficult to find these days I believe my new little sets help the look without forcing guys to have to make more corrections to the basic kit. The more and more parts that I make for existing kits the more apparent it becomes you are tied into the kit dimensions and shapes, and have to adapt the new parts to look as best as possible and to offer an improvement over the kit parts. Currently working on some new canopy sets this is very apparent, especially when trying to correct omega profiles etc. the width of the sills and then the height of shape of front and rear bulkheads compound the look, and a best look approach is needed. I am always happy to be honest with my approach and thoughts, some may not like it, but as said above when there are parts that impact on further areas of a kit the more you change, the more you are often forced to change more as then something else then looks out of proportion. Ali62
Thanks to all the guys with the positive responses on these releases and I am always overwhelmed by even just the likes and thumbs up and interaction that I get here on LSP, and not always just for LSP products, far better than most other areas that I promote my products. So thank you LSP MEMBERS. TankBuster, LSP_Kevin and The Phantom

orion2
Nice products, the early Mustang spinners will be most useful to me. When I saw "F-4 intakes" I was expecting "intake ducts" but these are still nice...perhaps you could also offer a full intake ducting set for the Tamiya F-4's ? Thanks for your nice work. Will Hunter
Those early Mustang props and spinners look great. I have two Hobbycraft kits in my stash that could do with these improvements.
