Christa
LSP hosts guests. Good. I wonder how many, how often, and with what interests? Also, can guests offer feedback by any route short of becoming members? Chris BiggTim
Out2gtcha
I would probably confirm with Kev, but I don't believe a guest can implement any kind of feedback without becoming a member. Troy Molitor, Phantom2 and BiggTim

Kagemusha
A member visiting the site without logging in, is categorised as a guest. Troy Molitor

Can’t imagine what would be stopping them from enrolling if they wish to participate in the dialog. The more, the merrier!

MikeMaben
Yep, I've been a guest several times. Some of my old posts list me as a guest. I've been here since the beginning, Christa

I've been here since the beginning, Because you had to create new accounts when you couldn't access your old ones. Old posts from inactivated accounts show up as "Guest" under the username, and that is quite possible that is what Christa is referring to. D Bellis
A few examples: Although, UMIRESIN should probably have the status changed to "Deceased Member". D

D Those examples are from former members who no longer exist in our member database (not inactive ones) - hence there's no way to change their status, reactivate their accounts, or do anything with the posts other than remove them. It used to be that when a member's account was deleted, the forum software would prefix all their posts with some variation of "guest". This is where all those "guest" labels come from. Now it simply deletes everything, which caught us way off guard a couple of years back when a certain member demanded to be removed. What Mike is talking about (and I've seen it happen) appears to be a bug in the forum software that doesn't associate a post with a logged-in account properly. It's pretty rare, and is probably triggered by posting from multiple devices (but that's just an educated guess).
