Trumpeter Super bug finished

Starting this tonight, bought a bit of aftermarket for it. Not so much far accuracy as to make the build more interesting. Not as the Growler but as an F

Taking a model with all it's potential and working my mediocrity on it

Nice collection of AM to go with it! Flightline Resin just released some parts in 32nd that might be of interest to you.

I've begun...The butchery has begun:

fitting the ECS vents

 

 

the kit parts don't quite match the images from the reference source

 

I filled the kit part with CA and Tamiya putty and made new ones from RB Productions screen and punched discs of .005" styrene

 

Also begun adding the Eduard P/E

 

As well as thinning out the plastic on these vents, Untouched;

 

and thinning in progress;

the fun continues

Following closely, my daughter has her name on a Growler, so "her" jet is on my to-do list of builds.  I'll be taking copious amounts of notes.    Nice start so far, impressive attention to detail.

You should take a look at the recently released Growler stuff from Flight Line Resin (via Phase Hangar Resin) - I just received mine and it is very nice.

im aware of the flight line products but, having bought their product for a previous build and being very disappointed with the casting quality fit and finish, I won’t be buying from them again 

I’ll bumble ahead with what I’ve got here

Interesting, i was looking at getting some of the their growler stuff but that may have me holding off.
