LSP_Kevin Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Funny - I just received an email from Silver Wings, and no mention of it! Kev Kagemusha and LSP_K2 2
scvrobeson Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Interesting. Wonder if it features any additional improvements on the original kit, or just the new bits for the floatplane added? Matt

Personally I won’t be buying it as I am hoping they will eventually put out a Fairey IIIF which is much more elegant. Kind regards, Paul scvrobeson and Christa 2
mozart Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 I’m delighted to see this release from SW simply because it’s in our scale, not the 1/48 that previous ones have been. I have no intention of buying it because it doesn’t figure in any of my modelling themes, but it gives me hope for the future. Rick Griewski 1
thierry laurent Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Well, this is good news as I thought they somewhat left the LSP arena to Lukgraph. This is a quite obscure version but at least the floatplane was aesthetically more attractive than the carrier-based fighter. So this is a good option. Now I hope they will at last work on the Finnish Fokker DXXI that many requested and for which we only got contradictory release messages for many years... MikeMaben 1
MikeMaben Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) Yep, I used to bug Simon about the -4 Sarja but like you say they never seemed enthused about it. I think it would sell better than most of their kits. Edited July 15, 2024 by MikeMaben
europapete Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 'morning all. Yep, I got that email today also. Good news indeed. I will buy one for the 'tweener collection as I like floaty things and to encourage SW to produce more. Max, the Flycatcher wheeled version does come in 1/32, I have one in the stash. It was the Woodcock that only came in 1/48. ( have one of those too, nice kit).

Yep, I know that Pete, I obviously didn’t make my meaning clear which was that the last kit produced by SW was 1/48 scale and a “floaty” thing, Macchi M41.
europapete Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Well, between this and the Spitfire thread I am really doing well this morning. Better have another mug of coffee and put my reading glesses on. Shoggz 1
