I believe Academy announced this kit back in 2023.   Haven't seen anything about it since.   Guessing it's probably not going to happen but wondering if anyone has heard anything about it's status.

Accompanying text on facebook from Korean via Google translate, don't shoot the messenger!

"We didn't ask the client to do so, but we insisted on putting it in the mold space, so we added a rotor base and fixture parts in the form of two folded rotor blades on top of the ship. When you put it inside a ship or a transport plane, all four rotors are folded, but it's hard to put additional rotor parts to reproduce it... By the way, if you take these parts and touch them up a little bit, you can use them.
The resin parts of the parent company are a bit strange in size and shape, but I think they were forced to compromise because the shape and angle of the Viper's rotor were closer to the flight state rather than the stationary state."

Facebook link, I don't do fb so can't see if there's any other text relating to the kit.

Is this a ground-up new tool kit, or is this all based on the 30 year old MRC kit?

Aside from the fact that the old MRC are short cabin B/C models, almost everything is different.  It would have to be a new mold.  Almost nothing from the old kit would be reusable.

Well, beings that I don't do face of the book , is there any word about when we could possibly see this? I'd be good for probably 2 if the price were right. I 'd see these come into the Fresno Air Terminal from time to time, pretty cool to see in the flesh. I'd build one with the main rotor folded and the other with the rotor "spread"[ if they include that feature]

Thank you. My Huey knowledge is somewhere between 0 and none

While I welcome anything new in 35th, I'm still at a loss to understand why no one has been inclined to release a decent UH-1D/H Huey (and no, the horrid Dragon kit doesn't count).   It's only the most widely produced western helo in history, used by dozens of countries, with an amazing combat history.

Agreed! The UH-1D isn't the only subject that gets repeatedly ignore either ,another one of modelling's mysteries. Yes. the Dragon kit is ,from what I've heard from others , is pretty worthless. I'll be getting the Venom if/when it comes out.

First test shots are expected to be done sometime in April. I "might" be getting one, not 100% sure though. If you're looking for something other than gray, I designed this scheme for HMLA-269. It was approved and the bird was painted a few weeks ago. It will be on the Yankee sheet I send to Microscale at the end of the month.
