I am in! :yahoo:

There is a very appealing Triebflügel build over there at Scalemates. I like this clear blue and black livery very, very much! :speak_cool: So I've ordered one of the nightfighter kits. It was also helpful that the kit is just on sale (just 35 Euro) and I still have a set of Aerocraft models UC struts in the stash. Me thinks that I had the desire to build a Triebflügel well before this GB ;)

Ah I wondered if one of these was going to turn up as I did look very hard at getting one on sale at the LHS.

Is that really hard to work on based on the odd angle it sits at?

Not really. It is made from 3 handy separate subassemblies: front, wing ring and rear. Each one is easy to handle and all 3 are just clicked together at the end of the build.

Storage and transport is another story; that's why I keep the wings removable.

Painted the dashboard at the sprue, but removed the side supports before. Decals are provided by MiniArt. They are not on a common carrier film. Each one is on its own, they are just arranged at the correct locations to help you by the application. I have added 3 generic German decals for the 3 gauges at the left. There are 3 engines so I opted for 3 similiar engine gauges instead of MiniArts decals. Glazed the gauges with some gloss varnish. Guess most of the dashboard will be hidden when the fuselage is closed.

It was easy to add the seat despite the 4 smallish supports at the rear wall - there is a large support hidden beneath. Nice. Added sone generic placards to the sidewalls.

I make good progress building up the other parts of the cockpit. I guess I will be able to close the front end at this weekend.
