  1. AIMS News! Summer Sale Sadly only 2 of the 15 people that wanted to wait for 1/32 Ju 188 and 388s to be back in stock have gone ahead and purchased and I am left with a massive bill to pay as both sets, whose injection parts are done for me by another company - needed all the tooling renewed as well as the normal cost per set. I therefore have no choice but to try and clear stock and offer people these sets minus £20.00 off the normal price. Email me if interested at aimsmodels1@gmail.com thanks
  2. Hi Everyone, Just been prompted to give an update, as I contract out for parts I do not have the tools for I tend to be at the mercy always of other people time scales! The replacement 388 L-1 is a suck in vac rather than a suck over vac. The dimensions of the former fit much better. Examples were sent to me which were too thin, more samples were sent to me just the same sadly and so I hope the message has been received and they are in the pipeline. I hate waiting for others - especially when clear instructions are ignored - had the message about the thickness been actioned we would have them by now. As for the 388 J-1 again the delay is the canopy - I could have it available all ready with a vac form canopy but every body wants a clear resin canopy and so the master has been sent to Bob at MDC. He is a good man and a friend but his hands are full. i hope that before April he can get a suck in mould made, use 1mm vac material to make a suck in copy thick enough to turn into a master for casting in clear resin. Me 262 A-1a/U3 decals should arrive at end of next week according to Ray at Fantasy Printshop and these include the decals for the 388 J. so it is just the canopy that we are waiting for. Best wishes and a Happy New Year to all my friends and customers John
  3. Hi Guys, Started work on the 1/32 Ju 388 J. managed to start work on the windscreen, upper dipol positions and scribed bottom half of circular nose cap - wonder if a 388 will appear in the next PIXAR film? PLANES 2 staring Jerry the Ju 388
  4. Hi all, Just to let people know I have started on the Ju 388 conversion. Engines being turned by a friend whilst I start on the structure. As you will know I have a number of parts already in stock thanks to the Ju 188 conversion I did a few years back but there is lots to do. 1. Can anyone provide me with photos of the seats? I have seen the excellent ones in the 1/48 scale kit but would like to see for myself if poss. 2. The cooling fan and thus engine cooling ring look a greater diameter than that on the Fw 190/ Ju 88, I would love to be wrong but any observations welcome. Here is the start of the Bodenwanne in Balsa wood. Need to varnish it and gradually make the grain disappear before filling and detailing ready for a vac form mould.
  5. Hi everyone this is pastor John writing for the first time from Hungary. Just got internet sorted a few days back and in the mean time updated my website www.aimsmodels.co.uk as well as set up shop. Before leaving UK I received first 12 of initial 50 Ju 388 parts from factory, I am yet to receive the remainder so please continue to be patient with me, thanks, or should I say kosonom szepen . I also received from Fantasy Printshop replacement decals for the Mistel 2, Ju 88 G-1 and G-6, having run out of the 200 of each decal sheet I originally got printed so there must be a lot of my conversions out there! The replacements are more limited as obviously orders for sets dwindle in time and don't justify massive printing costs but I hope you will like what is available. Hope to hear from you soon - and take your money lol John
