Hi,
For a few days i'm reading an amazing book, "My Golden Flying years", the Air Commodore D'arcy Greig's memoir. The story starts in the last months of WW1 (D'arcy Greig was flying a Fe.2b by night), then continue in Iraq against the insurgents (Re.8, Bristol fighters) in the 20's, then there is the Schneider Trophy races and so on....
At the moment, i'm only at the Iraq chapters so i cant comment the rest of the book. But it's really nice, and often funny. Sometimes tragic (the crazy guys from the Islamic State in Iraq today have no cause to be envious of some of the tribesmen in the 1920's regarding the cruelty... but the answer by the british was usually pretty efficient).
A very interesting life that many of you would enjoy, i guess.
