  1. This is Red 44, a battle weary Mi-24P during the second Chechen war, at least that's what I like to think as I took some artistic license with the nose art and bort number. I used Trumpeter Mi-24 kit which is really a great kit, Verlinden cockpit, eduard photo-etch, Ruperator conversion set for the twin 30mm gun, Linden Hill awesome stencils for the Mi-24. The nose art and bort number are borrowed from Linden Hill Su-25 decals for a Russian bird in Chechnya. Paints are Akan acrylics (for the camo), MM metalizer, Tamiya and Alclad. Weathering is a mix of Mig pigments and flory washes. This is my first helo and I hope you like it.
