  1. Speaking of the Typhoon (the real one, not the Eurofighter), I just discovered yet another book that I’ve now dutifully added to my Amazon list (along with several hundred dozen others).
  2. And here we have yet another interesting area of the references section that could certainly benefit from a little help. This section of the references database (M-Hobby) currently has but 7 books listed, none of which have covers, so,… we now need all 7 covers to make this section complete. And these seven books are: Istrebityel I-16 - thanks Internet! La-9, La-11 - thanks Alex Rusetski! Messerschmitt Bf 109B-1 - thanks Peter! Bronirovanni Shturmovik Il-2 - thanks Alex Rusetski! MiG-15 - thanks Alex Rusetski! Pe-2 - thanks Alex Rusetski! Pe-2: Part 2 - thanks Alex Rusetski! Public M-Hobby pages located here. As usual, if you have any of these books and could scan the cover and send to K1 or myself for inclusion in the database, we'd certainly appreciate it immensely, and of course if you have others that are not in the database yet, we're certainly not opposed to having that information either. Please Note: A reminder that we'd prefer not to just snatch web images, but rather use our own scans, thus avoiding potential rights issues or other unpleasant stuff. Thanks a bunch for any help you can offer, fellas.
  3. OK, with the last batch of covers asked for now finished, it's time to move onto another section. To that end, The Patrick Stephens Ltd. section currently contains 23 books, eight of which do not have covers, and they are: Fighting Colours: RAF Fighter Camouflage and Markings 1937-1969 - thanks Marvin Reyes! Fighting Colours: RAF Fighter Camouflage and Markings 1937-1975 - thanks Michael Chilestone! German Bombers over the Med - thanks Alfons Badur! Luftwaffe Camouflage of World War 2 - thanks Ian Foulkes! RAF Camouflage of World War 2 - thanks Ian Foulkes! RAF Guns and Gunsights from 1914 to the Present Day - thanks Iain Wyllie! The Aircraft Cockpit - thanks Hubert Boillot! The Development of Piston Engines The Radar War As usual, if you have any of these books and can scan the covers for K1 or myself, we'd greatly appreciate it. The current Patrick Stephens Ltd. (public), listings can be found here. Also, a reminder that we'd prefer not to just snatch web images, but rather use our own scans, thus avoiding potential rights issues or other unpleasantness. Thanks, fellas.
  4. As the title stipulates (nicely), the next section of the references database I'd like to cover is the Maru books. We are presently missing the following 12, 11 covers from the existing data: Chance Vought F4U-1/ -1A/ -1D "Corsair" Douglas DC-3 / L2D Fw 190 The Super-Fighter Grumman F6F "Hellcat" Kawanishi N1K2-J "Shiden Kai" Kawasaki Ki-61 "Hien" McDonnell-Douglas F-15 "Eagle" Messerschmitt Bf 109 - thanks Thomas! Mitsubishi A6M2 "Reisen", Nakajima A6M2-N Mitsubishi A6M3/5/6 "Reisen" Mitsubishi J2M "Raiden" / Kawanishi N1K1-J "Shiden", N1K2-J "Shiden Kai" Republic P-47 "Thunderbolt" There are currently 53, 54 books listed from Maru, and all have cover images, save for these twelve, eleven, or roughly 77%. If you have any of these books and could scan the cover and send to K1 or myself for inclusion in the database, we'd certainly appreciate it immensely, and of course if you have others that are not in the databese yet, we're certainly not opposed to having that information either. Link to public Maru page. Thanks guys,
  5. OK fellas, once again it's time for me to grovel before you. The following section of the book database needs some help: La Bancarella Aeronautica The 5 books missing covers are: Aeri Franchesi nella Regia Aeronautica Caccia Reggiane Cansa FC.20 Gli Altri Tedeschi: Ju 88, Fi 156, Do 217, Ju 52, DFS 230, Go 242 Martin Baltimore The La Bancarella Aeronautica database listing, (public). As is typical, if you have any (or all), of these books and can scan the covers, sending them either to K1 or myself, we'd be deeply appreciative. Thanks,
  6. Perhaps not new to all, but I just discovered this book yesterday. Looks like great reference (considering the other Daco publications I have), for the F-104G Starfighter. Given the release of a presumed new tool G Starfighter, this book will be an absolute "must have" for me. F-104G Starfighter Uncovered
  7. As the title suggests, I'm starting to develop a liking for the Super Etendard. Does anyone know of some good reference books on the subject, (aside from the Histoire and Collections book)? My little library is pathetically weak concerning this aircraft. Thanks fellas,
  8. This may or may not be new, but I just became aware of it a few minutes ago. Sopwith Camel
  9. Being an absolute certified Typhoon maniac, I had to order this. Thanks go out to Radu for putting me wise to the fact (about a year ago), that it was going to be released. Hawker Typhoon
  10. Just surfing the SAM site when I was reminded of the impending release of this book. Anybody have more specifics? Radu? While I must confess that I'm not a real fan, the aircraft is interesting, and I have little data on it at this time, so I just might have to purchase. Sam IAR.80 Book
  11. New Lancaster reference book for those interested. Lancaster Walk Around
  12. For those with a thing for the ship buster version of the venerable Mosquito, here's a good book at a really great price. I just ordered one for myself. http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=QM9104
