    I've been gathering research materials for my Tamiya 1/32 P-51D and came across the restoration log for a P-51D-25NT formerly of the RNZAF, serial number NZ2423. The restoration was incredibly thorough, and while I'm certainly not an expert, it looks like they made every effort to bring it back as close as possible to its original glory and finishes. In addition to showing virtually every part of the aircraft as they rebuilt her, there are also a ton of photos of everything before restoration. I saw one other post of this aircraft with a video and a lot of the restoration pics, but I didn't see this linked in the thread. I also included a link to the restored aircraft at the Biggin Hill Historic Aircraft Centre. For anyone working on a P-51D, I hope it's helpful.
