A few rare period photos have been unearthed by the Provincial Archives of the South-West region in France and published today on the internet.   2. Quite fascinating video of the state of the art French Air force before the start of WWII. The mass take off of the D500s is of note. The Amiot 143 was used against the invading Germans in 1940. Pretty much sitting ducks when you see them flying by in the video! The bombers are taking off in front of the beautiful terminal building of Le Bourget, which is now the site of the Musée de l'air et de l'espace near Paris
