  3. No Carrier Film Decals? Fantasy Printshop have a reputation for producing some of the best decals in the business, often doing the printing for other decal brands. A short while ago Ray, the man behind Fantasy Printshop, announced they were going to be producing some decals that were free of the traditional carrier film needed to hold individual designs together - and we were keen to take a look! Ray has kindly sent us a selection of RAF letters and numbers suitable for 1:32 subjects so that we could take a look - and, most importantly, try them out. An interesting development IMHO. Iain
  4. We take a look at a very useful set of decals for modern Low-Viz Insignia And Data USN/USMC/USAF. Have fun! Iain
  5. Hi everyone, Roland, an old IPMS friend of mine is looking for this particular decal sheet for an ongoing project. The decal manufacturer is LEVOS DECALS in South Africa. Roland sent an e-mail to LEVOS DECAL but apparently they don’t sell abroad. So he’d need someone living in South Africa to buy the decals and send them to him in Belgium by post. Of course, Roland will pay all the costs involved. Is there a friendly LSP member living in South Africa who’s willing to help my friend out? Thank you all in advance. Cheers, Quang
  6. Hello everyone. I was hoping to find information on markings for a DAP. I have the Kitty Hawk MH-60L kit, which has all the pieces to create a DAP, but lacks the decals/markings required to complete it properly. Does anyone have details on which tail numbers were fitted as DAP's, if so, what number was it and did it have a name for the aircraft i.e. Southern Comfort etc? Thanks in advance, Anthony

  8. AIMS Bf 109 Late War 109's Vol. 2 Hi everyone, hope you are all safe and well. As you all know there is a terrible shortage of Bf 109 decals on the market lol so with my 1/48 Late War 109 decal sheet selling out last week I thought I would get on with my Volume 2. After the Spitfire decals are printed then this lot will be sent off. Hope you like, I know some are available in kits, some have been available in kits - for better or worse but it is the selection I wanted regardless, perhaps there is still something there for you - I hope so. Best wishes, John

  14. Is there word of anyone coming out with any decals for these new kits?
  15. This may come as no new news to some, but I just discovered yesterday that Aviattic is now making 1:28 four and five color lozenge decals. This is fantastic news for me, as the aborted end to my Revell kit (here), was due in large part, to the absolutely lousy decals I was using from someone else at the time. (There were also several other errors with this effort, in large part owing to my then ignorance of the facts, but the decals are really what killed it for me.) With a fresh set of new decals (when I can get around to buying some), I may now be able to resurrect this project and finish it at long last. I'm a happy pup.
  16. While scrolling through some long forgotten archived digital photos, I stumbled upon these. A friend had approached me a while back with a new line of weathering decals he was creating, and asked that I use some on a 1:72 Revell Gato that he had, as an illustration of their capabilities. I obliged, and this is what I ended up with. (When the time comes, I'll be using some on my own Gato, that's a certainty.) A lot of what you see here is decals, though there is also some hand applied rust effects as well.
