This will be my attempt at a 1/32nd civilian aircraft entry into the US NATs in 2017. I know it sounds like a long time away, but I have many categories i want to enter, and this is one of them.........and the way I build, I will need all the time I can get. The Extra 330-SC N73KG, is flown by Jeff Boerboon, who is a professional pilot in the IAC (International Acrobatic Club sponsored by the EAA; Experimental Aircraft Association). If you've never been to a major airshow with IAC level aircraft, these planes are unreal to watch....................... The Extra 300 SC is the cutting edge in balanced, high end, responsive, and supremely maneuverable planes, designed to do 1 thing; aerodynamically impossible looking maneuvers.....................the power to weight ratio is over the top and allows this thing to do the seemingly impossible. When you first open the Icaerodesign Extra 330-SC, it is almost a laughable experience for any LSPer. This thing quite literally came in the smallest box I have ever seen for an LSP. Here is the box with the box from my last build: And it gets even funnier, if you look at it with the box from my SU-30: Of course this is all due to the fact that the 1:1 aircraft if just that small. Here is a really good idea of size, taken with another 1/32nd model, this time, the 1/32nd Monogram Phantom mustang, whos place it took on the bench: Lets take a look at what you get in the box................ Here is what you see upon opening the small box: The entire kits contents save the instructions and paint masks fits very nicely on my assembly mat, on the short side of my bench: Starting off with the fuselage, you can again get a good idea of how diminutive this airplane is IRL. Although small, its well molded, fits nicely together, and even has small alignment tabs as well: MORE................
