  1. I've recently gotten a Revell He219A-0/A-2 for a very, very nice price :-) I'm thinking about doing the Iain-nacelle-mod as as well as some other tweaks, but leave it at that. Budget does not stretch to the ZM kit, unfortunately... So far I've been able to find out some (including this machine) A-0 used a different air intake in the wings, so that'll need sorting out as well. The model includes a scheme for B4+AA of NJG Norwegen -however, what I've been able to find out about this seems contradictory and I'm curious if there is something new out there I'm missing :-) So, let's start with the Revell interpretation of B4+AA: They note it's an A-2 and have it as you can see with one black wing and spinner spirals, painted exhaust areas (or are those meant to represent actual exhaust stains?) and no red/white lower radar antenna. Thanks to Super Hobby for having the parts and instructions online :-) (and it's a good shop too, but that aside) Owl decals also does decals for what appears to be same aircraft. Their interpretation looks like this (1/48 shown but 1/32 the same) Well, spot the differences... (borrowed from the Owl E-shop) Then there are these images of what is thought to be the real thing as posted right here on LSP: (I copied the links from the old thread for convenience, if this is not OK I'll remove them but leave the link to the post) You can click to enlarge these several times to show them without the watermarks to show the gear doors/nacele underside) And what appears to be the same (judging by the comments, camouflage netting and engine covers?) thing here in the background: (linked from: https://samlinger.natmus.dk/fhm/asset/213616) This image is thought to show B4+AA as well. The white-ish artefact on the underside of the wing, when zoomed in, does not look entirely like a white cross (as you'd think on a black wing?) but rather like the slack antenna wire of the Fw190 parked in the center of the image? (the pitot of the Fw190 is obvious as well) The very trailing edge of the wing, when zoomed in, also looks darker then the rest, which might suggest it may not have been black? (als note the rear edges of the gear doors on the LSP linker rear-quarter photo) The contrast on all images doesn't help ;-) Based on the images I'm more inclined to go with Owls interpretation, but apart from the black wing (hard to see due to the contrast and engine covers) where did Revell's spinner sprirals, non-red/white antenna and those black areas masking exhaust stains come from? Is there new info out there? Different aircraft? Curious, Jeroen
  2. Hi there! With the Texan coming to an end I had no idea what to build next So I opened just the big blue box that has been looking over my shoulder during modelling for some years. Look, there is an Uhu inside The well known Revell kit with some goodies It has to be a quick build, so I kept the AM parts to the bare minimum. Precut masks. The mandatory correction parts for the radiator outlet. Also resin seats to overcome the issues of the kit seats. Added PE for the wheel wells because the wheel wells are large, wide open and very empty. The bird will sit on a high shelf when finished... SAC UC? We shall see. Revell has the build broken into some independent subassemblies. While still painting the cockpit interior you may build up the wings, engine nacelles and wheel wells. Two each. Also rudders and elevators. Just beware that some parts have to be glued around some kind of hinges so check this before This will become the A-2 from the kit, 1./NJG-1, with the black undersides. Regards - dutik
