  1. Pete I say go for it. I’m already in for 3, 1 Day Fighter Temperate Scheme, 1 Desert Scheme and then a big Pink FR.IX later on down the road. I am very much in trouble when/if the other Marks are released.
  2. I see a lower fuselage insert fora Sea Hurricane in there too. I see a good number of Hurricanes in my future if Revell follow through with multiple releases of what looks to be possible there with the Tropical Filter seen too.
  3. My pair are out for delivery. Ordered as a Birthday treat for myself. Model Shed/Garden Office arrives early next month so should be up and running some time in the new year, hopefully some after market bits and bobs have hit the market by then too. I wouldn’t complain if some of those were the parts to make a big pink FR.IX.
  4. I’ll get one no doubt but also hope for other versions in the pipeline a nice SEAC Hurribomber would be great.
  5. Apologies if its been cleared up already and I’ve missed it in all the drama but the photo only shows 4 guns per wing not the 6 I was expecting for the mark Revell said they were releasing, will the final release have 4 or 6 guns per wing. I’m far from expert but it would seem 4 guns per wing opens up more marking schemes.
  6. Thanks Rog, I thought it was something along the lines of yes to Gun Nose but no to a Turret. I shall hold off on purchase/pre order for the now then.
  7. Did the RAAF use this version? I like to slap Roundels on things.
  8. Last time I went, I think 2018 I had my foot run over by someone in a mobility scooter the size of a Chieftain Tank. Said person didn't even register the bump from their lofty all terrain perch and continued on their way with reckless abandon.
  9. £92 delivered with Modelkitsforless Facebook group. Have a couple on pre order with.
  10. Going to have to get a set of these for sure as the Mosquito that has lived in the stash pretty much since its release by Tamiya is slated for a Silver/Aluminium finish.
  11. The WAH-64 is the British version of the Apache. It has different engines to American produced Apaches and probably other things too, I’m far from expert on these things. It wasn’t specifically ’Navalized’ we just operate them from ships when required. They are still owned and operated by the Army. Blade folding is probably a manual process. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_Apache
  12. It’s likely for Transport/Storage on most versions. It’s a feature used on the British Apache for operating from the Royal Navy Ships. Often seen with them folded on deck when on Operations. Granted, this kit isn’t the British version of the Apache but lets hope there’s one following.
  13. Not this year for me. What budget there was has been spent on the Lego Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer which I wasn’t going to get due to its rather obnoxious size but I found one online at a shop I had credit with and who were also offering a generous % off on Lego products so as this one is going out of production at the end of the year and is already Sold Out on the Lego webshop I decided to take the plunge and buy it as no doubt I’d want it after it became hard to get and I’d have to pay eBay gouged prices. It arrived the other day and I started the build. It’s going to be 109cm long and 67cm wide at the tail end. Good job I live alone and have nobody to answer to! I do have the AT-AT Walker and The Millenium Falcon to build too which are equally as obnoxiously large but they can at least be displayed in a manner that makes them able to fit in the display cases I have, even if a shelf has to come out to do so. A crack habit would probably be cheaper. I also justify this expense with its been a stressful few months after a house sale/purchase fell through 3 days before signing the contracts which looked like leaving me Thousands of Pounds out of pocket but has been resolved now and isn’t nearly as bad as it could have been and then the neighbours from hell who finally broke me have moved on also (next door is a rental property and they were the 3rd not great neighbours I’d had in succession). So the money that was to be the deposit for the new property has now been spent on boring grown up crap like paving my driveway and back garden and a new kitchen. But there was enough left in the pot for a Garden Office which will become my new Fortress of Solitude / workspace. So I’m hoping now having a dedicated build space might generate some actual builds. Apologies at the long pointless post when I could have just said I’m not going to Telford this year but sometimes its just nice to vent.
  14. Tempted but have decided against a pre order, going to want to see a few being built first. I did see the build article in the Airfix magazine and the guy building it had to do some work on the ailerons, a lot of material needed removing. I know it was a test shot so I’m hoping Airfix rectify that but I couldn’t tell from the text if that was going to be the case or not. I’ll hold on to my Tamiya 1/32 kits for now. But it does look a very nice kit.
  15. Thank You Gentlemen. I cant see that sight system or an RAF Type included in the current GWH Kit or the forthcoming Pearl Harbour Boxing of it. So RAF Desert Tomahawk it will be as that sight is easier to scratch build and place in the kit (with my skill set or lack thereof at least).
  16. Well if I have to source a gun sight I’m going to stick to sourcing one for an RAF Tomahawk then.
  17. My kit is still somewhere on the South China Sea so I cant check to verify but looking at the sprues online and also the instructions there doesn’t appear to be any mention of any gun sight of any type included in the kit apart from the Ring and Bead. Hmm.
  18. So its a piece of reflector glass hanging behind the armoured glass? Thanks.
  19. Have they cut a section out of the armoured glass there? I’m seeing an oblong shape.
  20. Thanks all. The bodies of the sights look the same so I may get away with just changing the reflector glass. Did the AVG use the floor mounted sights?
  21. Oh you far overestimate what I am capable of. Maybe it's time to buy a 3D printer.
  22. Funnily enough I did come across that thread. I also recall you using a sight from a Fly Hurricane in your build. My Tomahawk is a long way down the build pile so maybe someone will release something appropriate especially with the Kotare Spitfire nearing release.
  23. Looking for something suitable for the Great Wall kit. I’d like to do an RAF version from the kit and there isn’t a sight included that I can see (not sure if the AVG used the floor mounted one). I cant seem to find an aftermarket Barr & Stroud MK. II with the Round Reflector Glass, only the later squared off version, however the actual body of the sight looks to be the same to me in both versions, would it be as simple as using one from a Tamiya Spitfire or the like and replace the Square Reflector Glass with a punched out Circle of acetate?
