  1. Boy you can say that again- that oil cooler blunder is my biggest beef about the otherwise nice Eduard kit.
  2. Keeps getting better! That's some great plastic Dragon has put out.
  3. I have Eduard (built one) and the new Dragon kit (i'n box). From initial comparisons, I like the Dragon better from parts breakdown, engineering, and value. The Eduard kit looks great when finished but seems to be a bit more work to get there.
  4. I am loving that stippled cam job on the sides!
  5. Oh yeah, forgot all about that "stealing your joy" stuff
  6. Does cutting edge make an aftermarket 1/32 bf-109E seat?
  7. Got mine from Spruebros the other day, looks great out of the box. I built the Eduard kit last year and enjoyed it but thought it was a little fiddley to put together. I think this Dragon kit will go together easier which is what I want so I can build LOTs of them!
  8. Very good price, I got mine from SprueBros last year about this time when it was on sale for about the same.
  9. Sweet pit and fantastic start! I got mine in the mail and am looking forward to building mine. One more thing-what seat belts are those?
  10. Sounds good. I'm looking forward to doing Galland's bird with this kit.
  11. Using a good light gray primer, like Tamiyas or Mr. Surfacer, should help reduce how much topcoat paint you need.
  12. I'm no expert on those colors- but looks great to my Mark 1 Eyeball. keep in mind a little weathering will add some nice variation to the base colors. Did you free-hand that camo?
  13. I like the Eduard kit but it isn't a weekend project for me. That seam down under the cowl (oil cooler?). With the split fuselage halves is a major PITA to an otherwise fun kit.
  14. I just started my Trumpeter Corsair and I'm looking forward to this cowling part
  15. You got that right! I figured it's gotta be good for something
  16. You can view the in-progress thread here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=207935 Here's some pics, let me know what's right or wrong:
  17. All my research points to being painted British interior green.
  18. OK, so this won't officially be part of this build as I am doing it for ARC's BoB, but I thought some of you might like to see it anyway for useful hints, tips and inspiration: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....=1/32+hurricane
  19. Per my post at ARC- Tamiya XF-27 Black Green. Yeah- I know it's acrylic, try it...you'll like it
  20. I used these Montex masks and was very happy with the results
  21. This is the first Troll sighting I've had in a while. I think the 4th of July fireworks must scare them out of hiding
  22. fully agreed! This would be a contest winner for sure with that guy!
  23. I've always like how RLM 65 weathers, just the right color to show contrasts to washes, shading, and highlighting. Great work!
  24. please take this as constructive critisism, MM RLM 71 is really too light out of the bottle. You might want to consider doing some More postshading there to darken it up some. MM RLM 71 is one of those very difficul colors thT every paint mnf has different out of the bottle, the MM is one of the more off colors IMHO. Great work here, makes me want to start mine.
