Will follow this one as I have the BMW w/ Sidecar.
Good luck keeping it OOB, it just cries out for more detail.

To clear the palette between aircraft, I'm going to have a go at Italeri's [edit: or rather, Italeri's re-pop of ESCI's] ancient KS750 kit.  I last made one of these when I was about 14; I recall poorly fitting parts, wobbly wheels and a host of other horrors, including awful vinyl parts and hoses.  How much of that was my lack of skill will shortly become apparent....

    Obligatory box shot:

I haven't yet decided whether to follow one of the included schemes (which are quite nice), do another wartime machine, or add it to my what if/alt history collection - but I'm intending to build it mainly OOB... we'll see how long that lasts   More shortly.

Hi friends, this is my last project - 3D printed German submarine Type VII-C.
Of course a lot of re-works and scratch-build  were add here for detailing the beast.
Also a great add is Eduard Brasin 88 mm gun at 1:48 scale.
To be more interesting - Tamiya 1:48 scale German figures are a nice touch for the finish.
Special Thanks for Fran Gaur for 3D .stl files of Das Boot
So here she is - 1 meter and 40 centimeters Kriegsmarine Beast :

Having been a strictly airplane guy for the last 40 years this build is a big step....sideways.

I have always liked the Y wing and have always wanted to build one. But a big one. The only IM kit is a Bandai 1:72. Nice but small.

So while wandering one of the 3d print sites I saw some Y wing files for sale. $25. What a deal. The transaction was simple and 10 minutes later I had the files.

In all of my research I came across a term that I was unfamiliar with, Studio scale. Essentially this is the scale that was used to produce the movie miniatures that were used in the movies. Or 1:24th scale. Cool. Nice and big.

The downloaded files were in 1:18th scale. Even I am not this crazy. Well, at least not yet. So after doing some math I determined that if the files were reduced to 75% it would be 1:24th scale.

So I reduced the size and began preparing the files in my slicer. However, many of the parts are way too big to fit my smallish resin printer. This necessitated printing the smaller parts on the resin Machine and the main body parts on my filament machine.

Anyway here are the first parts. Both printed on my filament machine.

Stay tuned. lots o fun ahead.

My own Gato looks like a condo for spiders;... talk about some serious rigging. As to tossing a project (or projects), yes, I've thrown out any number of them. I have a 1:32 Mirage to Kfir conversion and a MiG-21MF that probably need to be tossed, just haven't been able to bring myself to actually do it.

Recently binned a 1/35 RFM Tiger I late because the tracks would not stay together.  I swear I'd look at them sideways and they'd fall apart.  Into the bin it went...  I had another for a different project; that one got donated to the local club contest raffle pile....  As far as the Shelf-Of-Doom is concerned, I really haven't done anything with that.  I have four or five kits in that state but the oldest one, a 1/72 Gato Class Submarine 2/3 built, just sits on the top shelf collecting dust.

OK Here she is...the one above was an image I scrounged from Google as a reference. Sorry for any confusion. Can't get any good stills from the movie yet, nor anything resembling decals from the toy shop...which I thought was odd.
This is an awful lot of masking (:groan:) Little HTML joke I think this kit lends itself really well to what if schemes. I might try some of the others with my reserve one in the stash.

I began slapping this together last week after being inspired by Chris's 190Dora build for his son. My little ones birthday is on the 18th so I'm on a mission. The fit is so diabolically bad I'm sure you could hear me sanding it in Aussie from the USA.

Any ideas what scheme I might be going to do on this kit? (Dave, Kev...shhh :P )

It is one ginormous airplane in 1/32 though..wow!

Getting into the sanding again in a moment

    Hello Folks!

I am sorry that I am not a daily visitor to this forum.

However, now I am back and was quite surprised that some people here on the forum are taking interest in what I do.

It also seems that I have to explain myself. I am sorry that I don’t have an internet page for people to look at my products and ordering them (anonymously). I offer Facebook, instagram and an email address. People can get in touch, we can interact with each other, exchange the latest status or upcoming ideas. That’s what I love! That keeps me motivated!
I am doing all the design and print work in my spare time after work or at the weekend.

All my customers who dealt with me until now (from Canada, the US of A via the pond to GB and Europe to Japan and Australia) are very satisfied with my products and the way I deal with customers or the community!

I am sorry that I haven’t replied earlier, I hope you enjoyed your set from Iconicair.

LSP_Matt reacted to thierry laurent in Revell 2024 catalogue
    Hi guys,

As we already knew nothing really new is announced except the Meteor. Alouette II is at last coming back and it is interesting to see the Me110C and Harrier in the catalogue as they came back not that far in the past. The old Viper dog is also coming back with new decals.
To me the interesting part is actually some other sections of that catalogue. Not that far people were announcing the end of Revell as a model company. Well, to my eyes, the contents show the opposite! Revell is cleverly working to attract youngsters: dozens of models linked to various well-known movie and series franchises, drones, many cheap fun RC models, snap kits such as the recent 1/32 Me109, 3d puzzles and so on! This diversification of the concept of 'model' is actually what will preserve the company profitability and future! And it looks there are not many companies in that arena that are doing the same (Tamiya being another exception). This possibly implies few fully new classical kits will be released yearly but at least this ensures the company will keep the means to make them even if this does not sell that much. Frankly I'm impressed! Have a look!
