  1. Savoia Marchetti SM 79. But after the Black Lady, i no longer have any complaints about the availability of models. I would prefer 25+ years added to my life so i can build what i have in my stash. Oh, and better eyesight. I really don't see the P61 coming in 1/24 MBB
  2. Don't tell me the vacform is more accurate then the HB kit MBB
  3. Well, after the Black Lady, i feel almost embarassed to whine about more subjects. The stash is bulging out of the closet. But since i can always buy another closet: Savoia Marchetti SM 79 MBB
  4. Rest asure, there probably are AM many companies working on resin goodies. Not to mention PE. Chill, and all will be fine. MBB
  5. Hope Paul includes these...1/1 scale will do just fine. http://cdn.c.photoshelter.com/img-get/I0000ruWSj4yftHE/s/750/750/Pinup-Fairey-Firefly-Reno-2011131.jpg PS, lose the guy in the shorts, they're just not doing it for him. MBB
  6. They came at a price i couldn't afford. Couple more months and then it's finished. I do have a strange urge to paint the interior zinc chromate, and hang black curtains though.... MBB
  7. @Cees Broere. I have been quite busy modeling my 1/1 scale house. Have been for some time. Will get the Lady as soon as she lands on my favorite South-Africans runway. But building it is gonna have to wait. MBB PS You can get your tongue out of your cheek now.
  8. Dead Mackerel Stare Gets my vote for "expression of the year". Although i'm not married, it was immediatly recognizable. I always termed it the "goldfish on dry land" look. Superb! MBB
  9. P61 ailerons/spoilerons explained, by a very old gentleman who built them. Not much footage of the aircraft itself though. MBB
  10. Agree with Scotsman. Hell even i could do it better than that. Decal silvering, alignment of turret guns, and the fact that even though metal weights are provided in the kit, it's still on it's tail. Not to mention the amount of dust. My gues is they very hurriedly put something together for the show. Not complaining though. This is the first time we see her built up. AM guys can make new props. All i care about are glaring errors (a la Trumpy Wildcat 1.0) that are impossible (for me) to correct. So for me the emphasis will be the curvature of the top fuselage, directly behind the canopy. Still early days. We'll see. MBB
  11. http://www.cybermodeler.com/special/2012_acft_scale.shtml Cought me unawares. Check the list. MBB
  12. I'm waiting for another "Briefing Time". http://www.maam.org/p61.html MBB
  13. In particular the news about the planned Silverwing releases for 2013/2014 ? MBB
  14. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10208791 The stash is aching. Text made me giggle though. MBB
  15. Bloody hell it's here already! But, but, i don't know....there something about the shape of the nose.... http://m2museum.com/...1BlackWidow.htm MBB (diving for cover).
  16. The survey on Silverwings' site is much more comprehensive. Fire at will. http://www.silverwings.pl/survey.html MBB
  17. Worked for me shortly before posting my message. I tried it just now, and it's Tango Uniform. Voted for the Yak 9, Kingfisher, and the Nortrop A7 as well. MBB Correction, site works. Text in English read "This survey has already been filled with this computer."
  18. Well, putting a Fokker D21 in there, made it a no brainer for me. MBB
  19. That's what i understood as well, Derek. But still, no great shakes. I'm just happy that we finally get a large scale Widow. And to think that it all started a few years ago, me constantly bickering on this forum, that i wanted one. In large font sized text. In fact, three of my wish list have come true. The P61 The Shturmovik The Re 2005 But not the last one, an inline Judy. Well who knows. Thanks for the trouble mate. I should write a thank you-note to Tim Berners Lee as well. MBB
  20. @ Derek B. Sure Derek, by all means. TIA. MBB
  21. Well, maybe. I have asked this question before. Scrounged the web. Asked my Favorite South African (Dutch guys know who). Checked what i could. There was no such ship. Consensus is, that by the time the stripes went on, the turret had gone. Was just hoping for a miracle find. But this is turning into the quest for the all-yellow FW 190, or the decisive word on the coloring of the Lou IV. Black will do, i guess. No complaints here, no matter what the thing will cost. MBB (throwing another bucket of gasoline on an already raging fire).
  22. I am still hoping that someone will come up with hard evidence of a P61, in OD with invasionstripes, And the turret mounted. Apparently, by the time the stripes came on, the turret was gone. MBB
  23. Gentlemen. Let's not burn our synapses here on what still is a rumour. Wait till she lands, count the rivets, make your choices. (Personally, i'd pee on a sparkplug to get one, but then again, tastes differ). MBB
