Hi Again
I apologize i dont have that book. I have vol. 4 that have a nearly identical cover.
What kind of info are you looking for, i might have other books on the subject.
Cheers
Mikkel
I desire to see specific Me 262 photos that EagleCals specified on their decal sheet. Something about their color call outs seems a bit strange to me.

Happy B-Day, John!!!

What a disappointment; the one photo that I have that might have answered some of my questions about the bomb fin ring internal configuration, and they're all packed full of snow (plus the fact that it's a small image).

Yep, I got the same email.

If anyone has the Japo volume: Luftwaffer over Czech territory 1945 Part III, I'd really appreciate some clear scans of pages 121-124.
Thanks a bunch, fellas.

Tonight I decided to add the Aires sidewalls. I'll be away from home for a couple of days, but will paint the 'pit when I return. I loves me some airbrushing goodness.

Time for some attention to the gun sight. Not really correct, but I’ve added a small disc to simulate the projector lens. Some flat black, followed with some light grey dry brushing and a spot of color for the lens, doctors it up OK. I don‘t believe the sight itself is really all that accurate, but certainly good enough for my needs. Projector lens was probably clear, but I decided to do ‘er up as clear green instead.

Looking excellent so far.

Mask set showed up today. Pretty much everything I need, except what I need the most (the IP), is arriving now.

I’ve sprayed some of the MRP neutral grey 43 here, just to check my work in this area (probably should have used primer instead, as I have a ton of that). Despite what I’d thought were my best efforts, the seam still shows! I’ll continue the work to get it as decent as I can.

Waiting for yet more putty to dry on the wings, I turned my attention to the tail area. There were some minor gaps under the tail planes, but Vallejo acrylic putty fixed them up quite nicely. I love that stuff. (Still needs to be rubbed out with alcohol or thinner.)

If I recall, Brassin’s bombs (at least the 1,000 pound ones) come with separate fins and seem pretty close to the ones in the pics you posted above.
Talk about coincidences, I happen to have a set of the 1,000 pounders sitting here, but again, while great for hanging from the airplane, not at all good for displaying on a bomb truck or trailer.

Roger that on the Hobby Boss Thunderjet ! The only reason I haven't snagged one yet is the singular lack of any aftermarket, like seats with belts, instrument panel photoetch and such like . I believe I could live with the rest of it[ re-enforcing tapes on the outside of the canopy]. I've run into the same problem with the old Matchbox Sea Venom[ seats and instrument panels ]. Two thumbs up to Jetmads for making the noble effort! I just can't go with them from a financial point of view. It's no sin to be poor but its terribly unhandy.
AMS makes a resin 'pit set for the E, and possibly one for the G as well. Also, don't count out airscale instruments and bezels, that way you can make your own IP. Kits-World may also make some 3D printed generic belts, and their stuff is pretty darn cool. You might also look into some ASK products, but I can't say for sure they'd be of any help.

I checked my source, Erection and Maintenance manual Curtiss P 40N
For other P40 versions it's diffferent but it's minor detail
Still good to know. Thanks for the help.

Another decent photo of the flange/lugs at rear of bomb.

While I have always been under the impression that the shipping rings themselves were two piece affairs, this photo seems to more or less confirm that. The bomb in the lower right hand corner, seemes to show what for all practical purposes, is the hinge on the far side of the shipping ring.

As I recall, Harold supplied a bunch of info on the F-84F as well, but we (the model builders) never saw any action from that.

Same answer as above. Any help you could offer would be great, Mark.
