So, you just have to print the black on white decal. That was the standard 2-34 Arm. marking.

    Trigger warning:
You may see a lot of large scale models that might be never done as a LSP kit. So maybe you will never be able to build one of the beloved aircraft types you see here...

No, Ben will not print a limited series of Tiger kits. I've asked him about this. He said that the for the CAD available basic datas were way to crude to print a model in good quality. Everything had to be filled and sanded a lot after printing to achieve an at least acceptable surface quality. The printed results are too far away from acceptable standards to be sold to somebody. So no Tiger kit, no Vigilante kit, no Osprey kit, no you-name-it kit

So that's it with the LSP images from the Euro Model Expo 2022. There were some more nice LSP models, but I've mised to take photos; also some photos were too bad to post them and got deleted.

So enjoy what you see here

Here is my last built, long and not easy.
It took me many years to complete it with long no works periods.
Only changed the kit main landing gear legs with G-Factor ones.
Main markings are painted with home made masks.

There will be two versions, one with a "fast back" (Ki-100 Otsu) and one with a "razorback" (Ki-100 Ko). It is not possible to just "graft" a "radial engine nose" to any existing 1/32 Ki-61 kits because the Ki-100 is not based on the "vanilla" Ki-61-i but rather on the modified Ki-61-ii. To start with, the Ki-61-ii had a different tail fin and canopy/windscreen. Then there are multiple differences in the cockpit, a different instrument panel, a different floor with different fuel selector and pump levers, different hydraulics control panel and a radically different throttle quadrant because the radial engine required different controls. The treadplates on the wings near the wing root were moved in order to make room for the large fuselage fairings that blended the radial engine to the fuselage.
As for the other kits announced, please have some patience, making models takes a long time and Covid is affecting everything right now.

Alas this is not so simple as the plane had a fuselage fairing behind the nose. So only the area behind the wing leading edge was identical. It is probably easier to mate the spine and canopy of the Razorback on the Bubbletop.

That's my understanding too Thierry, although there were the photos that were published of the Jaguar that Song was working on before he was involved with Kitty Hawk, but I'd assumed that materialised as the 1:48 KH kit...

And there *was* that Buccaneer that appeared around the same time...

Old thread: What happened to those Trumpeter kits!!

Wonder if Song will be back designing for Trumpeter - IIRC he did quite a few of their better 1:32 subjects?

It's fun to dream - but, personally, I've got more on my plate than I can cope with as it is!

Not a lot of progress this week, I'm busy preparing for a big model show in Germany this weekend - Euro Model Expo at Heiden. I managed to paint the cockpit and to add tons of Anyz knobs. In addition, the fuselage was closed. Besides that, I am busy redoing the wings again. @Richard J was kind enough to point out some errors and to provide extremely useful information which enables me to make the 3D model significantly more accurate. Thanks again for that, Richard!

And here's what I did over the last few days:

And last but not least, a crappy pic of the assembled fuselage.

Humorously, those kits ended up being wholesaled cheap because folks thought it was the old Revell '109 kit from the 1960s in the box. I bought a whole stack of them back then for $9.99 each when the original Hasegawa boxing was going for about $40.

Now a lot of folks seem to think the new-tool Revell '109G-2/G-4 is the "old" Hasegawa '109 in the box. LOL!

There's a lesson in Revell's marketing failure in there somewhere...

The YF-23 was pretty curvaceous. Whoever put a red Black Widow logo on it had more than the P-61 on his mind. Definitely a Marvel guy.

Like many other here in the forum, I find the aircraft lines of 50s to 70s much to be much more beautiful. I would not call the F-22 an ugly plane and it is really good from some angles in particular and I'm really impatient to build a 1/32 Raptor to add in my collection. But that is the fifth generation stuff that in general is less appealing... with all that zig-zags and strange shapes generated by computers.

    Hello all,

This my attempt at the Hasegawa 1/32 FW 190 A5 kit. I found this to be an easy and fun build. I was motivated by some great builds at the Vegas Nats. I was able to pick the kit and decals while I was there. I have always had a fondness for the Yellow and Black checker nose. Reminds me of the Ernst Kessler Bird from the Movie The Great Waldo Pepper.  I riveted the skin and used G factor landing gear, Barracuda wheels, Quinta cockpit and a mix of Model Master and AK Paints. The pics were taken with my I phone. I find it easier to take these outdoor pics then trying to make a indoor studio picture.  I am a terrible photographer!

    Hi Michael.

The following series of 1/32 kits have Allison engines:

    Revell P-38
    Trumpeter P-38
    Kittyhawk P-39
    Revell P-40
    Trumpeter P-40

Obviously the versions are variable, accuracy often questionable and details missing but this is always better than starting from scratch !
