ICM doing a new Yak-9 family of fighters in 1/32?
Helmsman replied to esarmstrong's topic in LSP Discussion
Poor translation from Russian. Meaning "armed with cannon(s)". "Пушечный истребитель" in Russian. Not sure whether similar term exists in English. -
A question about my Future
Helmsman replied to ScottsGT's topic in Modelling Q&A: Tips, Techniques, and Photography
Mine is definitely older than 15 years (and travelled about half of the world) but have no adverse effect on canopies. I haven't used resin ones though. -
Buying from a particular website question
Helmsman replied to MustangManiac's topic in General Discussion
This is a Ukrainian site so it is not a good time. -
Highly unlikely.

There are quite a few companies still flying to/from Russia (Turkish Airlines, El Al, Emirates to name a few) so mail is still being going in and out. Delivery times will probably increase.

UnionPay cards are still working in Russia. Brief search shows that these cards are possible to get in US or Europe but they're not as convenient as VISA/MC.

Super-hobby.com
Helmsman replied to Hawkwrench's topic in Modelling Q&A: Tips, Techniques, and Photography
No surprises. Same experience as with any reputable retailer like Sprue Brothers. I don't know whether anything changed in these 5 years passed since my order especially shipping costs.- 9 replies

They're in Poland as far as I remember. So far it is a 100% success rate with one small order. Haven't heard nothing bad about them.- 9 replies

Both Sufa and single seater kits contain 2 HTS pods (E-29, 30 and H-7,8). I checked this route building Barak posted above.

I've done this after checking the Isradecal book. However when posting my model in Israeli group on Facebook I was told that IAF doesn't use it anymore.

Well, yes, pin marks is an issue but everything else worked just fine. As for engine, look at step 12 in the instruction: parts J23 and J24 go into rectangular holes in the engine(don't glue!) all the way in so their bottom parts lay on the stand (with little persuasion).

Flexible sanding Pads
Helmsman replied to Hawkwrench's topic in Modelling Q&A: Tips, Techniques, and Photography
I make my own sticks using mounting tape sold almost on every corner. Little Ronsonol to remove old tape, stick new one and cut to shape. Any sandpaper 400 to 2000 can be used. As for sponges, car parts (Autozone, Advance auto parts etc.) stores sell them up to 2000 grit. -

Does Future go bad in the bottle?
Helmsman replied to Citadelgrad's topic in Modelling Q&A: Tips, Techniques, and Photography
Mine is about 20 years old and it has been moved few times across different countries, no yellowing and still doing great. -
Well, they're under new owner so might be different business model.
