  1. Holy cow! This is really coming to life. I am curious to see your recessed rivet workaround. Cheers, Tom
  2. Really really nice, and you nailed the colors inside the exhausts! Cheers, Tom
  3. It is so great to see this come together. Can’t wait for paint! Cheers, Tom
  4. Thank you! I’m using MRP this time. It definitely sprays thinner than Tamiya, even straight out of the bottle. Cheers, Tom
  5. Thanks Lothar, your comments are very appreciated! I am really looking forward to the painting stage, which should be coming up soon. Cheers, Tom
  6. I've managed to finish most of the airframe, with just the light fittings adjacent to the intake to modify. The CFT's fit well with clamping, and I used stretched sprue and Apoxy Sculpt for the liner. I added the carbon fiber decals to the exhaust, but haven't yet weathered this area. Paint soon! Cheers, Tom
  7. Great progress Dennis! That is one big model—but you are no stranger to them! Cheers, Tom
  8. Very impressive work! Cheers, Tom

  10. Thanks Martin! Motivation indeed! That’s a beautiful photo. Cheers, Tom
  11. Andy, way to bring this over the finish line! It looks quietly spectacular: the colors on the wings look right in scale snd the markings are striking. Great job! Cheers, Tom
  12. Please don’t make me want to start my Dauntless! Please don’t make me want to start my Dauntless! Cheers, Tom

  14. You’ve brought that cockpit to life! Cheers, Tom
  15. Finished what I consider the most formidable fix that I will be applying, so I am a happy lad. Close enough for government work! Cheers, Tom
  16. Oh yeah! This is a feast for the eyes! Cheers, Tom
  17. This will be great to watch! Cheers, Tom
  18. Sean, Just catching up here. Stellar work and great subject aircraft as always! One approach I’ve used for the hexagonals is to take lengths of square styrene in the appropriate diameter, shave off the appropriate corners, then slice to the thickness of the bolts, if this makes sense. Cheers, Tom
  19. Sean, thanks! You da man! I hadn’t seen that drawing before. I appreciate you sharing this and your build. Cheers, Tom
  20. You can do it! Great start on this. Cheers, Tom
  21. I posted this on Brett’s build as well, but this is a great reference, especially for the price: http://www.detailandscale.com/sbd_dauntless_digital_book.html Cheers, Tom
