  1. I now have the kit, and am excited to start a build log. And yes, I believe it is a solid foundation for building an Apache. Stay tuned! Cheers, Tom P.S. For some inspiration:
  2. Max, you are bringing this history to life! Great work. Cheers, Tom
  3. Si, the links are individual, but shortening by one makes them too tight. I replaced the tube section with my own tubing so the distance could be adjusted by sliding. Cheers, Tom
  4. I loved building this beast! And yes, extend the track tensioner, it really helps. Cheers, Tom
  5. That looks spectacular! Cheers, Tom
  6. Thanks everyone for your encouragement! I just have a little further to go with some redoing and touching up. Cheers, Tom
  7. I've been taking a break from the build to work on another subject, but here is where I am for the time being. I still have some touching up to do, but not too much further to go. Cheers, Tom
  8. Excellent job! I love the finish and markings. Cheers, Tom
  9. Fingers crossed Jennings! I see the fire from my house. Great find with the hummingbird! Southern Arizona is indeed the hummingbird capital of the United States. We’ve been visiting Ramsey Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains for many years, the center of the capital! Great photo by the way. Cheers, Tom
  10. Sean, Magnificent work! I love the stressed skin effect, among the many other wonderful features of your build. It was genuine pleasure to follow. Cheers, Tom
  11. I love duck rescues! I had to stuff 4 ducklings that I rescued (located between freeway and railroad tracks) in my bike jersey and ride in ~38C weather to my daughters school where my truck was parked. We brought them home and raised them on turkey mash in a cardboard box and a bathtub. In six weeks they were ready for release and I saw their successful debut in a lake in Tucson by my wife and daughter, shared to me via video while I was in Namibia! Cheers, Tom
  12. This is a rerelease of the IMEX/Kangnam kit that I built years ago. Issues like the landing gear stance and inaccuracies of the cockpit aside, I actually enjoyed the build, and it certainly looks like an Apache. Are there any glaring issues with the shape of the airframe? Thanks, Tom
  13. Truly magnificent work and photography! You’ve brought this to life! Cheers, Tom
  14. A great tribute, and I’m sure it will be truly appreciated for a long time to come! Cheers, Tom
  15. Absolutely beautiful job finishing one of my favorite schemes for the F-16! And Welcome To The Forums! Very impressive debut. Cheers, Tom
  16. Chuk, you never disappoint! Among the many things I really enjoy here is your versatility. I love using pastels for their subtlety, and I once even “painted” a camouflaged subject just using them. Thanks as always for sharing your work. Cheers, Tom
  17. Spectacular work! Cheers, Tom
  18. This is looking spectacular! I love the variations in the upper and lower surface coloration. Cheers, Tom
  19. This is a spectacular testament to Mighty Mo! I’ve seen the 6’ model at the Naval Academy, and your build is evocative. I also put my USS Iowa on the blocks. I love how it looks displayed this way! Cheers, Tom
  20. It looks really nice Tim! Great scratchbuilding. Cheers, Tom
  21. I’m running out of words. Pete’s build = real thing! Cheers, Tom
  22. Thank you! It’s definitely not an out of the box build, but I’m happy with how it’s turning out. Cheers, Tom
