  1. There's quite a bit of stuff knocking around in general if your happy to surf around the internet. Try Videoaviation in Italy for some really cool accessories of a wide variety of subjects! I can recommend this company without hesitation and delivery is very quick too!
  2. If it comes in RAF 617Sqn markings they have a sale from me.
  3. Whatever price you paid you got a great deal!! If you paid full recommended price you still get a great deal!! I finished the A-6A version two years ago with everything that the kit provides. I have two E's waiting for attention. This kit is amazing and will take a lot of your modelling time but it will reward you with a superb looking replica! I enjoyed it immensely but took my time and modelled it in sections so as not to get overwhelmed by it. I hope you enjoy building the kit as much as I did! Nuff said so go build it now! Lol.
  4. Yes as already said they are different variants of the 202 Folgore (Lightning) model. Then there's the 205 Veltro which is an upgraded variant yet again. There were lots of series of these fighters! It's just that Italeri haven't said yet so just curious. If your really interested for more details I can recommend Warpaint #78 for some excellent references.
  5. Do we know if it's a series 1 or 3? Also hoping for a Veltro down the line sometime?
  6. An interesting note is that their Mosquito in the same scale also has parts for other variants but were never released as seperate kits. A bit like the 1/32 Revell Hawker Hunter which was tooled for possible inclusion for a Twin Seater version but never released. Just because it's been tooled doesn't always mean it'll happen I'm afraid! Fingers crossed but I do suspect in this case we might get lucky?
  7. The really important thing as that it must be enjoyable to build. Scales are a personal choice too and any new kit that comes to us is a blessing anyway IMHO. I have accepted this scale for helos and military vehicles but my entire aircraft collection is mainly 1/32 and will remain so into the future to maintain consistency.I I must say they do look nice and the upcoming Val is also tempting! Just have fun!
  8. At shows I've mixed up 1/32 and 1/35 stuff on a diorama and people have asked which is which? Some knew and some didn't but mainly most were indifferent and most just enjoyed the scene presented to them. It's never worried me but that is a personal thing I suppose. I've had many compliments regardless. Just enjoy!
  9. I already sent a message to ICM on that one! Long overdue and they'd do a superb job on it too! Hopefully they'll take up the challenge for us all.
  10. Yep no weights required for the kit. Sits just fine as it comes! Have fun!
  11. I found it a reasonable build apart from the back end of the engine. I leave off some parts on it to get it to fit correctly and that works for me. I've built three of them now. The latest one being the razorback and I enjoyed building that one too. It's a big beast but very impressive looking on the display shelf!! Have fun!
  12. Yep that's what I thought but the composition of the light metal seemed to degrade over time. Weird but that's what happened to mine over a six year period. I did have It stored in a shed subject to all different temperatures though! It won't hurt to add a little extra strength to it either way I think just in case! Have fun.
  13. Didn't have a problem with mine but beware of the loading on the nose leg. It will break over time as its quite thin. Next one that I build will have a subtle length of brass rod down the side dressed as a hydraulic tube to strengthen it. Have fun anyway I think its a great kit!
  14. Yes it has but like the Devestator its been on the yearly release lists for a long time also and we still await its arrival. I'm also looking forward to the Fw 190 too! Lets hope they actually arrive this time!
  15. Your last part here is interesting as I have a friend who worries that he builds more than he finishes. Does more kit starts and then returns them to the box than finishes too. I reassured him that actually it seems to be quite a normal for a lot of builders out there during conversations with fellow modellers. Perhaps its the next shiny new thing that attracts? Either way as long as you enjoy what your doing does it really matter? Lots of parts versus little amounts of parts doesn't seem to matter in most cases it seems.
  16. I have a theory that there were far too many parts in that particular model for many modellers out there. Online reviews stated thst their project's were shelved as it just took too long to build and might hsve put many people off making the purchase. Beautiful model but if you want a shorter timed project then it might not be for you?
  17. Nothing wrong with the kit and I have built one and converted one. You might be interested to know that this kit was designed to be 'basic' to keep the price lower. The importer decides the final price so we shouldn't blame the manufacturer when it seems too high for what we get. The Meteor F8 in our scale is looong overdue so excited about this news!
  18. I think it's a great idea but perhaps a bit expensive for a childs pocket money treat?
  19. Wood forms would not take the heat and punishment of the vac process so yes they are used to make resin ones for the production process.
  20. I think the Wyvern is one of those quirky designs that do appeal to people. Of course just how many is another discussion. It did serve operationally and I believe was popular within the FAA. However, in my opinion sales figures would be a lot better for a Fairey Firefly or a Hawker Seahawk/Sea Fury if they travelled that route instead. Personally I would love a big scale Wyvern though!!
  21. I prefer continuity in scale for fixed wing aircraft. I have learned to compromise on the rotary side though. I've decided not to buy this series as good as it looks to keep that continuity in the stash. I do hope it is a success for them though!
  22. Here in the U.K I allow at least three months for shipping and customs clearance to the agent. It can sometimes be longer but as a rule it works pretty well. Then add another month for processing to retailers and your about right. Some retailers order direct which knocks off a couple of weeks but I've never been that desperate. Lol.
  23. There's a market for everything it's only a question of how much is out there? If Border is happy with their sales fair enough, although I'll be passing on this range myself. Plenty of 1/32 subjects out there to keep us amused still!
  24. The quote from years back that I remember was that when it was announced about it's release the sales target was for 3000 units. How times change!
  25. I totally agree with this statement. Personally I love banging about with a model kit that is classed as 'unbuildable' by some. Then again I admit to being old school and find Tamiya kits relaxing but too easy at times. So when a range of limited run kits come on the market that are classed as 'challenging' but gives me a subject I really like I will buy it. Each to tneir own but of course it does limit the potential sales to other normal kit builders out there. These will probably sell to buyers of resin and vac kits who would like an slightly easier model build for a change! Funny old hobby isn't it.
