  1. Bummer! My D polished right out. Haven't looked at my G kit yet.
  2. Tony, buff that casting line down starting with 800 grit then move up to 1200 and then 2000. Hit it with some polish and it will be gone! Just don't gorilla grip the canopy or you will break it. Holding it while polishing seems to be the hardest part.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. I added mine.
  4. I'm in for a couple sets of Bronco gear sets. And if Revell Phantom gear gets made, about 5 sets. And I've got 25-30 lbs of brass I could ship out!
  5. Because too many people are screaming for F-111's, T-38's, FG Mk 1's. FGR MK 2's, etc... I'd be in for a kit or two of the rest of the century series myself.
  6. LOL!! Like where to put a large, built kit has stopped us maniacs from purchasing one anyway. I will admit though, the question is usually asked after it has been delivered.
  7. This is something along this lines of what my plans are. I've built the Golden Dragons A-7 and have the kits for the F-18 and the A-4. Also planning on as many of the Blue Angels that I can. So far I have decals and kits for the Hellcat, Bearcat, A-4, F-4 and an F/A-18. Thunderbirds I have built the 5 F-16's in flight, I have the F-4E kit and decals, the Tamiya F-16 kit, F-100 w/ decals, F-105B with decals and hoping a T-38 actually comes to fruition one day.
  8. What am I missing? These seem to be the exact same decals for the different years? Is there a variance I'm not seeing??
  9. OK, I recant what I said in the other thread about this kit. The first $450 to my PP account gets it! LOL!!
  10. I was one of those that held off on adding one to the stash until they discontinued it. Then I jumped on one as quick as the funds came available. Still haven't built it, but not letting it go either! I try not to be a hoarder, but I'm weak when it comes to kits.
  11. Woohoo! Congrats to the young man!
  12. A few of you may remember my long post I made back at the beginning of the year about taking over Mom's care and moving her to an assisted living facility near me. I'm very happy to say that yesterday I had the closing on her home that's 100 miles up the road! No more moving trips, cleaning trips, sorting through all the QVC purchases to decide which go, which to keep in storage, no more fighting my egotistic narcissistic brother that tried to take the house and Mom's $90,000 of equity to get his crap he was storing out of it. No more repairs, dealing with the sale, etc. Just a few phone calls today to stop some services and I'm one step closer to being free of that burden. But all that being said, I think I'm still a good 6 months away from getting back to the plastic bench. Too many other projects in the works that have to be completed first. I think 2017 is going to go down as a styrene free year.
  13. Must not be one of the regular show birds. That one is pretty dirty. Ever see the one they "weathered" by using the gun? Looked awesome. I noticed the Thunderbird pilot in the back seat of the T-38. I wonder what that's all about?
  14. I'm actually planning on the #1 Thunderbird with mine.
  15. I'm just going to leave this here. I already have a shelf full. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00061HG7I/ref=dra_a_ms_lb_hn_xx_P1400_1000?tag=dradisplay-20&ascsubtag=346365c76a1296523035c19803929e9e_CT
  16. Revell even has the 747 Ed Force One out. You have been away for a while, huh? http://www.revell.com/germany/aircraft/80-4950.html#.WT1jQuv3arU
  17. Since eBay changed the rules years ago to "protect the buyer", sellers have been getting shafted by many unsavory purchasers. That being said, I rarely hear of a model seller getting shafted with no recourse, but on automotive forums I hear of it all the time. I'm not willing to take a chance on selling anything these days on eBay. Years ago I sold odds and ends I found laying around the house I wasn't going to use anymore. From car parts to models and vintage toys.
  18. 20 years ago I had a double Laminectomy L2-L3 and L4-L5. It changed my life for the better ever since then. Evey now and then I over do things and start getting pains in the legs again, but that's due to L3-L4 also being herniated but not bad enough to do it too. Well, add in the Spinal Stenosis I now have from scar tissues in those areas. Just take it easy, get an iPad to hold in your lap and enjoy life. Lots of Ibuprofen, Ice packs and Scotch really help too. A good dose of Lortab also helps. The week before my surgery I was shooting a wedding for a friend. I was taking two Lortabs and chasing it with Scotch and barely felt any relief. A week after surgery I went cold turkey on the meds. Doc could not believe I recovered that well.
  19. I have plans to build them all. Collector by default. I like to collect built kits. Preferably built by me.
  20. I thought about adding just for the free flag, but I was thinking shipping costs worked the other way around. Oh well.
  21. FYI: Use coupon code MEMDAY17 and it's only $99 + shipping Well, I just clicked on order now and the web page is having a hiccup. Trying to communicate with papal. EDIT: Got it! Had to redo the order a couple of times. But $112.69 shipped to my door.
  22. This thread makes me miss my beer. Use to love it. Now it gives me major sinus issues for the evening. Drink two or three and I cannot breathe through my nose, sinus headache and watery eyes. In the past it made my cheeks and sides of my neck turn red. I guess I have a yeast allergy that is getting worse with age. So I switched to wine. Now that is starting to give me bad headaches without the sinus issues. Two glasses and the head is throbbing an hour or less later. I guess I'll have to stick to my Scotch. A close friend recently got me hooked on Aberlour.
