  1. Thanks for the comments chaps iain-beware the decals, very fragile, I ended up masking the big numbers on the wings Kev-these were all taken recently at the Scottish Nationals-I didn't take many pics of them, just for my own benefit, as i usually see the mistakes easier in a pic, than in real life, however I'll bear that in mind next time i post and try to take more
  2. Built out of the box apart from the markings, made a ham-fisted attempt at the stripe decals and ended up just masking them off

  14. Hi folks, I am starting a revell mosquito kit and wondered if there are any build threads you could point me at or has anyone built and detailed it, is there anything wrong with it-it seems generally good to me but I may be missing something, I seem to remember Paragon doing bits for Mosquitos in other scales TA for reading this Allan
  15. Hi folks I need help with the academy 2 seater hornet kit instructions f/a 18d-have copies for most of the single seater, but the two seater instructions are missing, does anybody have copies or can you tell me if you know of a download source? allan
  16. I too get comments about "braille scale" at my club when I bring in or talk about 32 inferring my eyesights going, but I think its more a case of its what you are used to, theyre used to 72 and their world is 72, I suppose I feel the same about car models, I love cars but IVe yet to see a car kit that can convince me about authenticity etc-horses for courses...
  17. cant say I'm over the moon, nice to see a new kit of anything but theres so many others that need kitted-the Raiden is better news as far as I'm concerned , i see now why all the revell stash kits are starting to appear on the trade forums hahah! how about a lurvly new hurricane iic or a tempest or thunderstreak or fury or dove or vampire or wessex-oops! did i say that out loud..... I'll probly buy it tho
  18. there are a few holes in the modelling menu I'd like to see appear hawker Tempest-any or all versions f84 thunderstreak fiat g91 fiat g50 fokker d21 javelin vampire mirage f1
  19. I'm trying not to be negative here but my own stash puts me off sometimes, in that i cant decide what next to make! and it kinda makes me rush a kit so i can move on, so, i go between spurts of no builds for a year, then 6 at once!, but thats just me. My cure is selling on, which gets easier as i transit all my stash into 1/32 from 1/48th-i.m ending up with fewer but more expensive kits...If only I could stop adding to it I'd make more....but seeing Ians stash-i'm with most of the replies here and would only be too willing to relieve you of the odd one or six hee hee...jeez what a hobby, just fantastic. and ian see that wee box third on the left.............
  20. Hi I'm looking to build the mig 21 pf in the indian markings with the crude tiger stripe camo pattern but it is always potrayed with an early under fuselage cannon which is very different and larger than the one on the trumpy kit, any pointers as to a detailed pic of one or a line drawing ? regards Allan
  21. hi just had to get in on this one too hawker tempest-any variant late hurricane brit phantom f84 thunderstreak mirage f1 gloster javelin thats not much to ask hmmmm? allan-it was a nice dream
  22. even if you can just help with the mouldings of afterburners and their inner parts, the rest is acheivable with cuts and judicious use of milliput-n'est-ce-pas? or at least thats the bits i cant do, but I'd still be interested in a lovely new conv set, so count me in for at lest two if the price can be kept under hysteria level
