  1. If the external dimensions are to be accurate wouldn't the internal components be slightly reduced in size to accommodate for the thckness of the plastic? Gee I hope this thing comes with some kind of alignment jig. With all of those internal components seems like it could get out of alignment farily easily. Matk H
  2. Hard to tell but I can't see if there is any wingtip washout. It looks straight all the way instead of a slight upturn at the wingtip trailing edges. Mark H
  3. I can hardly wait for the Ho 229!!! And now there will be 2 Do 335's in 1/32. Is everyone forgetting the HKM announcement along with the Mosquito? I wonder who's kit will make it out first. Would be nice if one was the B version while the other was the A version. Mark H
  4. ..land based speedster. http://landspeed.com/project/project-updates/230-oct-8-2013
  5. I'll be getting 2 as well. Can't hardly wait. And they're doing the Do 335 as well!
  6. Daimler Benz Bomber Project B or almost anything else in Luft '46! Mark H
  7. What about filling in the panel lines for the aileron trim tabs and fashioning the missing ribs for the fabric covering for the B model? Only the A's had the trim tabs. Mark H
  8. Based on the price I'm inclined to agree that it's 1/32. The Planet Models 1/48 kit retails for around $97. Mark H
  9. James, Beautiful build. I did have a question I hope you can answer as I haven't been able to find any information on it. For the oblong openings around the rear portion just aft of the separation point I could never tell if they were open or closed although on pictures of the A/C they looked open but I could never tell how deep or if they were equal depth or angled as if for cooling vents. Do you know what they were for? Are they just the attachment points to join the front and rear halves together? I see you opened them and it looks like you just put a blanking plate behind it to add depth plus the hole in the middle of each one. One other question. Did you replace the solid fuel booster bodies with plastic tubing? The ones in the kit are not that great. Mark H.
  10. FANTASTIC!!!!! So this is what Ken was referring to at the SVSM contest without giving away any hints of what was to come. Mark H.
  11. For $150 and free shipping that does sound like a good deal from Squadron. What will Sprie Bros. do? Mark H.
  12. At our club's annual contest lask week Ken from PCH brought the fuselage and wing and I got to "fondle the plastic". Indeed it is BIG. I was impressed at the number of rivets on the wings, and oh so subtle they were. It'll look impressive in NM. When they come out with the F model in the future I would think that the rivets might disappear under a coat of paint. Mark H.
  13. Someone's probably acting as a schill to load that 3 preordered kits to entice others. Mark H
  14. Matt, Kind of off topic but what drum corp is represented in your avatar? Guess I'll be looking for you at our club's contest this Sat. You bringing the Me 262 you said you just completed? Mark H
  15. Mike, According to Warplanes of the Third Riech "The Me328B-0..the cockpit canopy hinged to starbord. Space did not permit provision of an ejection seat, but the whole rear fuselage aft of the pilot's seat could be jettisoned by means of explosive bolts to facilitate escape." HTH Mark H
  16. let's see... 633 Squadron, Tora, Tora, Tora, Where Eagles Dare, Red Tails, Patton, A bridge Too Far, The Longest Day, Midway.... Mark H
  17. Kevin, Just a quick note on the end date for the contest- November only has 30 days and not 31. Mark H
  18. Yep, same here. No PayPal = no order.
  19. That's about $169 USD. Not a bad price for a big a** plane. Mark H
  20. You need to start building it so that Dragon can release the G-4 version just after you're done building the conversion. (snicker snicker)
  21. Glad to see a new young CFI joining the ranks. This weekend I'm in the middle of probably by 12th or 13th FIRC. I'd say the average age of the group attending it are in their 50's! Mark H.
  22. Hey Matt, What Drum Corp is represented in your avatar? Mark H.
  23. Joe, I want 2 of these and have emailed you. I agree with the others to have the conversion done right and can wait. Mark
  24. Yep, Got my notification and just ordered it. To bad the Eagle decals were out of stock. Mark H
